Or maybe it will be restricted to Shepard.

How did I know people will start complaining about Ash?I must be a clairvoyant!
I swear some members on here get paid for the amount of complaining they do. It could be just their favourite pass time or just a natural born gift.
Personally I like Ash's new look and I am an Ash fan. Besides Casey said they'll be armour so get your nickers out of a twist.
I'm not on to complain too often on these forums, and I actually think Ash looks great. I'm just concerned that it's out of character, and I don't like the juvenile angle Bioware sometimes takes with their female characters.
If there is a good reason for Ash dressing like that fine. In fact she's nowhere near the embarrasment of Miranda's outfit, as a casual outfit it's comparably classy and understated!

You totally KNOW that thats all it is going to be. Recolours and lame ass upgrades that have no discernable effect because Bioware hate statistics now.

It isnt that. Not for me at any rate. And it isnt just Ash in that pic. Its Liamara too.
We saw that video of Ash wi hair down and in a dress in combat; I didnt mind that though a lot of people didnt like it at ALL. I didnt mind because she was on Earth and apparently interrupted at dinner which is why she wasnt in armour.
So contextually her having her ****** out makes sense in that instance.
Dont mind it if it makes sense in the context but Bioware seem to always fling sense out the window when confronted with the Rule of Cool. Ash should be in HEAVY armour, since she is a Soldier; not a armoured catsuit ala Miri.
And Liamara jeez. I know people loved Samara but christ that doesnt mean you need to merge her and Liara. I liked who Liara was thank you very much.
Yes Liara's tiara is not needed in my eyes. But the outfit is a very good recolouring if I ever saw one. Ash on the other hand we have no information as to why she is in this outfit. Could be she changed philosophy during the years apart from Shepard while he was off fighting collectors we don't know.

Bioware does have a history of that but Ash is nowhere near as bad as say Samara or Miranda. Besides it could always be worse right?

Kaiden looks great, glad I saved him as the VS
Ashley looks good too but if its her casual outfit
Liara is going for the Samara look and it isn't working out for her...
so ill play the game with kaiden and leave the sexy roll up to miranda (if she returnes as a permanent squad member

Yeah, I suspect Bioware new direction regarding loot/squadmates outfits has something to do with DLCs, I'm not naive. But I was convinced they were to release info about armor and promised us an Ahsley in proper armor.FitScotGaymer wrote...

They obviously chose to advertise Ashley in that way . I really like Kaidan new look but I hope they didn't only changed him to answer "the Kaidan is a whimp" nonsense. It's like Bioware is reassigning them to what they think are proper roles for a male/female character. At least it gives this impression.

They tell a story.
And to tell a good story you have to immerse them in the world and universe. And when you have things that are unrealistic to the point that Suspension of Disbelief doesnt cover it; people get jarred out of the world.
And when it happens repeatedly you end up with Dragon Age 2. lol. No when it happens repeatedly you end up with people being unable to play because of it; or at very least it seriously detracts from their enjoyment.
It make be "just" an outfit, "just" armour. But when taken as part of the whole package, if it doesnt fit then it upsets/annoys folk.
I dont mind too much what the companions wear as long as it contextually makes sense, at the beginning of a "mission" or first arriving in an area.
Except Liaramara; please give her back her own unique look!

As I said in response to that very person. It isnt that she is showing Cleavage; its that she is supposed to be wearing HEAVY ARMOUR and her having her ****** out MAKES NO SENSE. Yeh?
If she is wearing a skin tight boobs falling out dress on the ship then I wouldnt mind at all. In a combat situation as a soldier she needs Heavy Armour; and in a toxic atmosphere she needs a SEALED SUIT.
That is most peoples gripe. The Rule of Cool SUCKS and ruins games.

It's not the fact that it's there - it's who it involves. If this were a new look for Miranda, it wouldn't be as bad - it was established from the start that that's what she wears. It's the fact that it's on a character who until now has been consistently depicted in Heavy Armor, while another who has worn Light Armor has been beefed up.
I do actually really like the outfit - I think it looks cool. But it just doesn't suit a character such as Ashley.

If anything, it should be the other way around, and Kaiden should wear the tight skirt with high heels, while Ashley wears the heavy combat armor. Ashley could still be sexy in heavy armor. Shepard wears heavy armor, and is the sexiest, IMO.
Honestly though, it doesn't bother me as much as James Vega's hair.

Ashley, no...What have they done to you?
Oh, and lest even that tiny dark area on her thighs appear for a moment like appropriate armor, note that she's got garters there.
Okay, I thought I was somehow imagining those. So it's not just me who's seeing this.
The hell of it is, I could see an adept wearing that sort of outfit; just enough protection for someone who is more crowd control and at the back of the line. But Ashley's a damn soldier- she's the closest thing we've got to a tank. You don't wear a cocktail dress to a shoot-out, ffs, and that's what this looks like.
Exactly, she's a soldier, she doesn't have time to read fashion mags. But she still wants to look sexy (sexier). At least she's trying
