Ashley looks like Barbarella.
The photograph of Liara is awful and I HATE the faceplate. Although she appears to be the LOTSB Liara, which is good. But the faceplate needs to go.
Vega looks like a, what was it someone said, a big meat-head marine, which is probably what he is, so cool.
Kadin looks great.

But seriously, please lose the faceplate on Liara.

I understand that Sentinels were repurposed from squishy casters to "OMFGTANK" in ME2 so I am totally ok with Kaiden's armor

Honestly, I have bought "everything" related to the ME games (games themselves of course..not the out of game fluff like avatar things and stuff but I have some of them too) and I did so GLADLY. But now I REALLY feel like you are pulling another "miranda" on me where in order to see her with PROPER armor I have to buy an apperance pack.

The symbols on their chests:

Vega has a ram, it's very recognisable .
Ashley has a slightly stylised humming bird.
Kaidan has a Hannar?! It's the only one I can't figure out.

Kaidan and Vega look great I think. Ashley looks okay, but hopefully we get to make her look a bit more tanky through customization. Liara looks terrible -- I hate the red and crown thingy.

Try reading what I said again.  :lol:  I'm not a fan of the light and open clothing.  I don't like the combat skirt what looks like high boots.  I do like the longer hair and the make up, because that make girls look girly.  And I like girly girls as much as girly girls like to be liked.  :)  I'm all in favor of girls being girly.

Also, nice way to put words in my mouth.  "If you believe," is a great way to imply I said something I didn't.  =]

What is this Faux Hawk Effect 3?

Kaiden and Vega have stupid faux hawks, albeit, Kaiden's is less pronounced.

Also, the guns like ridiculous and are just simple reskins.

It could be as simple as that's a style Liara admires.  It certainly make her look attractive.  Maybe Liara admires Samara.  Isn't Samara one of a legendary caste among Asari?

for all we know Liara is wearing ceremonial paraphenalia and whatnot

the Asari equivalent of a templar cross on one's vestments. I enjoy that, allows me to see a little more about Asari culture not just what Asari put up as a facade to other species

Kaiden has the best design imo.

I'm beginning to have second thoughts about Ashley's hair being down. It does look very impractical - there's no way a women going into battle would do this. I've always thought a woman with her hair up looks more assertive anyway, which fits Ash.

Check out the "if you believe" which implies things my post actually contradicted.  If a reader where to sheep along and accept the meaning shoved onto my post, then it's offensive.  Otherwise, just reading my post, you're right.  Not offensive at all.  :)

that makes me somewhat less sad, but still sad in other departments

if that is true Marketing is pushing out visuals to appeal to the drooling masses (big boobs, tight clothes, high heels).

I understand the need for this but I do not agree with it
