Armor can mean many things these days, in marketing words. So I am not going to give them any slack untill they actually produce pictures that showcase something that convinces me, rather than the stream of pictures that doesn't show any in that regard sprinkled with vague comments from the devs.

After all, you'd be a loonie to think any of the devs or marketing guys would actually give negative feedback on their own game before it was released (they usually wait with such stuff till they are about to release the sequel). so anything they say will have to be taken with more than a grain of salt...

it depends, if he isn't a LI, his face is acceptable. All the characters in mass effect don't need to be beautiful.

Because that's how dumb the designers think we are, which basicly aplies to this whole ''alternate armor pack'', expect for kaidan.

Vega may look like a dork, but he's supposed to be just a raw Alliance marine who will probably grow and mature throughout the game. However, he looks like a tank in that armor, and will hopefully be one on the battlefield. Kaidan also looks really tough. The women on the other hand, are just bad designs. That color scheme is just terrible for Liara, and Ashley is a real swing and a miss. At least Liar is wearing armor, sure it's lightweight ballistic plating, but it cans till protect her. Ashley looks like a power ranger. I've heard conflicting stories from the devs on the whole squadmates issue. I remember a twitter thread that said that the squadmates would have customizable armor but now I'm not so sure. It's not a huge problem for me, but Ashley just looks so out of character. She's supposed to be a hard-core marine chick who shoots first and asks questions later, not some subtle girly-girl.

Sad part of the poses are that we will have to deal with them during every squad selection...if ME2 is anything to go by.
