I think I can sum up Ash's situation with 2 images:

What ME3 fans wanted.

And one of the options (OPTIONS : PLURAL) ME3 fans get.

I'll admit to taking some issue with the design choice, but I reserve final judgement until I actually get to play with it in-game.

Now as for Kaidan, am I the only one who thinks he borrowed some armor from Noble Team?

liara's armor just needs a new color scheme and it will be good to go (maybe take off the head gear), kaidan looks awesome, that better be ashley's "on the ship" outfit. and vega looks like a derp...

That's not her "on the ship" outfit because she has a weapon in her hands and everyone else is wearing combat gear. That's her combat outfit.

Probably we will be able to buy an appearance pack for a few extra bucks so she doesn't look retarded. That's probably what they meant when they talked about "day 1 DLCs". That ensures everyone who want Mass Effect for something other than masturbating at video game dolls will buy it.

Grow up.

Ashley's outfit is the "date" outfit she referenced on the citadel in the first game. You can only equip it if you romanced her in The first game AND bought her dinner in the third.

Well, I'm not getting too worked up over it; the the image itself is bad, they are alt costumes. And mods can fix stuff. But I will say so far the costume design doesn't seem to be as strong as it was in the previous games.

I understand a desire for realism or character consistency, but it's time to stop pretending Mass Effect is high brow.  It just isn't.

Huh. Kaidan, Ashley and James all have a symbol on their armor. Ashley's looks like some sort of bird - which I guess it supposed to symbolize "pheonix". I can't make out what Kaidan's and James are though.

I think I figured it out. The one on Vega looks like Capricorn, while the one on Kaidan looks like a flying horse with wings, AKA Pegasus. But that's just me... what do you guys see?

Well, for now it's the best explanation from that I've heard

Nothing wrong with sex appeal.

I 'm confident for Ashley, it's just a pack dlc and I like her like that. But you made me laugh.

Disregarding Kaidan's boobs, it looks so right this way.
Honestly. Ash is a soldier. Give her some real armour. She looks 50x as impressive, not to mention attractive, like this.

uh..LAzuli just because there are strippers in ME that does not mean the game is low brow. It is how their presence in the game is handled that makes a game low brow (like, I don't know duke nuke'em) or high brow

Yaaaaa... Until a BioWare employee confirms that these are legit, I am going to assume that these were set up in Max or Poser (which would be very easy to do).

If you look at the ME3 CE, both Liara and Vega are the same as in the photo posted here.

Well, I don't make a habit of complaining of what BW in its designs, most of the time I'll outright defend them. But what they are doing with Ash is going to far. She is a MARINE, infantry, she fights with guns n' guts, yet they made her look like another Miss Fanservice. I mean come on, a guy who specializes in tech support and biotics has more armor than her, and SHE is supposed to be the front liner. By all reference in the ME Universe, Ash SHOULD at least be wearing armor similar to Zaeed, the newly introduced Vega guy, and even Shepard. Mobility is not an issue in this universe, heavy armor in this universe is light enough to be wearable and to handle several upgrades to it. And if that wasn't enough, soldiers in the Alliance, like Ashley, get genetic enhancements to improve strength & reflexes, among other things, so its still a non-issue! But no, they had to over-sex the only relatable(sic) realistic woman on the Normandy playable party. What happened?

But, maybe I'm wrong and that is just her casual wear, and in that case all I have to say is that Ash has really poor taste in fashion, even in the future.

Bah, I have nothing good to say about it and now I feel horrible. Can somebody post a picture of puppies or kittens?

Kaidan is pretty much attractive too, like this.   :kissing:

And I'd still romance Vega.

Now, Ashley is creeping me out and I don't even know why.

I can't really pinpoint why but he looks like big baby in that picture. :o

I support proper armour for every squad mate in ME3.

I kid you not I'm about to fire up ME1 and make a new canon run letting Ash die on Virmire just so I do not have to deal with THAT in ME3

She had sex appeal in ME1 when I romanced her. But I understand if you think having sex appeal means looking retarded.

And masturbating is good for the mind.

Buying Mass Effect to ****** at the dolls. That makes splendid sense, man.

Hmmm...

I like Kaidan's armor. Looks more like medium than heavy compared to Vega. Make sense he'd have tougher armor than before if he's now a spectre.

Vega looks like a tank. No comment since I don't know the guy yet.

Ash needs armor. This suit appears to me to be too light for combat and too heavy for casual. Hope we really can put her in real armor like Bioware said.

Not digging the Liara tiara, but otherwise fine.

You're right.  But it's not that she's a stripper, it's that she's asari.  As far as I'm concerned, if you have sexy blue space-babes that want to bone anything with a pulse, you've pretty much lost any hope of being high brow.  Maybe it's just me.

Enjoy Mass Effect for what it is.  It's not the sort of entertainment that takes a degree and a half to appreciate.
