Disregarding Kaidan's boobs, it looks so right this way.
Honestly. Ash is a soldier. Give her some real armour. She looks 50x as impressive, not to mention attractive, like this.

Kaidan is pretty much attractive too, like this.   :kissing:

After Ashleys redesign Iam really curious about Mirandas outfit in ME3

A bikini??? Lingerie?

Not a lot of creativity on the weapons either, except for the sniper, they are re-painted dlc weapons.

LOL @ people killing Ashley because of her ME3 outfit. I mean really people? Aint this a lil extreme reaction?

so WAIT

you make a choice on Virmire, you leave someone behind. Now I do not know you BUT most people leave behind the character they like LESS.

This "new" ashley or at least her visuals might be SO ridiculous to some that IF they decided not to do another run and stick with Ash in their ME3 they might just leave her on board 99% of the time. I know many who never used Miri or Samara because of their ridiculous outfits. Sounds like, at this point, they would enjoy Kaiden more or at least use it more than they would Ash so.......why not do another run and kill Ash off thus saving the character you will like more in ME3?

it might sound Shallow to you but it bothers some people THAT much

The only reason I ever used Miri in ME2 was that she had both Warp and Overload otherwise I'd have left her always on the ship too rather than having her prance about in high heels and a latex bdsm suit (the DLC pack made me feel SO much better about using her)

Just make Ash's outfit not look like a skirt and just redesign Liara's outfit all together and I'll be happy. The men seem to be wearing proper armor and that's ok with me.

Do we know if these are real alternative outfits like ME2s or if they're just re-colours of their default outfits?

On the bright side the customisation must be amazing if it can turn Ash's power ranger outfit into something suitably solider-ish.

I have to agree. Calling Ashley's jacket a miniskirt is like saying these men are all wearing "miniskirts."

Me it makes me laugh. Especially since this is not the only suit and they know it. They do what they want after all. Too bad for them. ^_^

Casey said she will "also" wear armor and helmet

he never said for how long nor in which situation

for all you know it might mean she wears them solely during a space walk during a single mission

yes I have become that suspicious lately

Why is everybody kicking off? Casey has already said that Ashley has a armor and helmet appearance too (Her old armor I presume)

To be completely honest, if you think the right image is a catsuit, so is the left, because the left is still quite form fitting. It just has less color, which makes it look less dramatic.

Same thing, isn't it?

Aside from Miranda's DLC armor and Jack's DLC biker thing, every alternate appearance - both DLC or loyalty outfit - is just a retexture of their default outfits, visors aside.

It's safe to assume these 4 outfits are retextures of their default ME3 appearances, which ties up with what we've seen so far - Ash and Kaidan's are blue, and Liara's is obviously in the same colours as it is in LotSB.

People like to complain about things, and when they get in that mode, things that nullify their complaints are often ignored or dismissed. For examples, see the birther debate.

Ash and Kaidan is just recolouring for sure, we've already seen their blue outfits and they're the same.

the images in a picture are recolors of the outfits we have already seen in previously released promotional materials.  which concidering that this IS a payed DLC and that every other armor pack so far came with distinctly different outfits, not to mention certain little details that just don't jive (game informer image of Kaidan has him with his usual curly hair, while this image has one of those " I'm a hairgel model" do's), makes me wonder if it isn't just a very detailed fanart.

then again - this is just me desperately trying to find any reason to make this horror untrue.  I'm one of the people who never took Miranda off the ship, with exception of starting mission and her loyalty one before alternate appearance pack was released.  I liked Ashley enough to have 2 saves with her alive, despite my strong preference for Kaidan and if this is real, I'll be one of the people changing at least one of those saves to Kaidan assurvivor, because I don't want to have killed off one of my favorites just to get a character that I'll be ignoring 99% of the time.

Your reductive assertion of the Asari aside, have you played Legion's loyalty mission?
Independent of these rather worrying designs, Mass Effect does feature passages which are positively sublime.

Agreed.  And I was being more than a little hyperbolic in my "assertion" of the asari, though I don't think that's the word you intended to use.  My point stands, though, that going hand in hand with the more intellectually engaging moments have always been explosions, sex appeal, and video game archetypes.  That's part of the beauty of Mass Effect.  You can tickle your frontal lobe in Mordin's loyalty mission and then pop back onto the Normandy to tickle a decidedly different part of your body in a conversation with Miranda (hello, camera).

Sometimes, I look at these forums and think, "Wow, everyone is insane."

I don't mean the designers; I can't believe somebody said Ashley looks like a bimbo in that shot, seriously, are you people 16th century puritans? You guys need to look at this logically - armour doesn't do a great deal in the ME universe unless it's 4 inches thick or more - or made from woven carbon nanotubes. Looks at Shepard in ME2 without health upgrades(As Shepard's health had to include the effects of armour.), from upgrades or powers - his health isn't much better than Thane's, but they're wearing vastly different armour. It's the shields or barriers that take the brunt of the damage on anyone who isn't a Krogan or Vorcha. Armour is only any good on a human if you're expecting to get punched or stabbed, something low speed. And it's the future - this only counts if it's something like a Krogan, becasue EVEN NOW we can make thin flexible armour which will stop any blunt impact a human can cause, and it's easy enough to cover that in light weight metal scales, which if you looks she has. So you have to worry about being punched by Krogans and getting stabbed by Yahgs. If Ashley is letting Krogans and Yahgs sneak up on her, she deserves to die, just like in EVERY SINGLE one of my playthroughs.

And as has been said, Casey Hudson states she's getting armour.

Which I won't see.

'Cos I hate her.

Kaidan and Liara look okay, James looks almost like a StarCraft marine, but it's palatable, but Ashley...
oh, dear poor Ash, we'd never be friends in real life and I like pretty much everything else revealed about ME3 (within the context of it being ME3), but what they're doing to you is beyond bad taste.

She's a heavy armor frontline soldier, not a biotic/tech scout/spy!
