Two totally different scenarios for two totally different people. Nevermind that we're all debating assumptions/guesswork as far as Ashley goes (and based on possibly-not-final, ALTERNATE art) - the point I was making is that it's perfectly logical that Ashley becoming a Spectre may mean her work has called for a different approach. People do not just stand pat and stick to what they've done as the world changes around them.
The difference in this debate, of course, is that I'm perfectly willing to accept the idea that this look is based solely on "sexy" motivation. The other side seems completely incapable of recognizing the possbility that it's for story reasons. #theinternet
While it is not final, it is pretty much a reskin of what we saw in the E3 demo, which is itself not a good sign.
As to Ash's new line of work, I cannot possibly think of her as happy having to wear this kind of outfit. "I'm an Alliance soldier. It's in my blood" This outfit makes her look like she's stuck at a desk job or something. If that's part of the story, fine. But without context Ash look good, but she doesn't look like "Ash"
And no, I am not willing to accept her look as simply a "sexy look" The Ash I remembered was pragmatic, both attractive and functional. She would not accept armor with a V-neck. She would not accept simple cloth when plating should be available. And pink armor was bad enough, hints of fetish wear should be right out.
