I just don't buy the idea that Bioware put her in that outfit to attract little boys. This is the age of porn, after all - if Bioware wanted horny boys to flock to Ashely, they'd have to try a LOT harder.

It's called a compromise.

Is that how their working on the developing story and characters of ME3?  I seriously hope not, but it's really looking that way.  Like any great story it's a really good idea to start from the beginning and continue from there..  The BEGINNING should be considered the best point of entry for new players not the end... I think the devs should be more concerned with the story and characters that they created and making the continuity of them make sense...  not focus on how to get new players interested in the last installment of their game as an entry point.....

So why are people that like asari complaining about sexzualization? That's contradictory.

Kaidan looks great, Liara looks a little off and Ashley is damn near unrecognizable. Vega looks like a character from Gears of War.

I hope these character designs get a little bit more polish in the next 8 months.

Yeah, the whole concept of bringing in new players always eluded me. So basicaly BioWare is trying to get retards to play their game? Because that's what you are when you buy the third part from a trilogy without touching the previous two... a retard.

An OLD asari. Back when her armor was made, humans didn't exist, and no other species in the galaxy had "boobies" and therefore cleavage didn't mean anything to them.

Honestly... and you try to get into argument with us lore nerds? Slap yourself.

How about I slap you instead? Scratch that, you'd probably enjoy it.

Why WOULD any species, other than humans, assign any special significance to asari cleavage? They probably think asari breasts are just kind of weird. Quarians have breasts too, but I can't imagine that turians, elcor, hanar, drell, volus, krogan, or any of the other known species have such distinctly mammalian features or would think twice about them.

And yes, the asari ARE the obligatory Hot Blue Alien from a metagame standpoint. No one is gainsaying that. But in-universe, they have to be viewed differently.

Hello? The point? You've missed it.

Over-sexualization isn't the issue. I'm all for Miranda skulking around in outfits that even asari think are slatternly. Because it's Miranda. But that's not who Ashley is.

Not getting the point are we?

Anatomically modern humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago, reaching full behavioral modernity around 50,000 years ago. - as says the Wikipedia.

Asari live up to ~1000 years. While it is possible that her armor was crafted before humans became a space faring race, they most certainly existed.

Ash's suit isn't as sexualized as Miranda, but compared to the guys, it just feels like she's not suppose to be the "tough" person. She looks like the female supporting character compared to the guys. You know, the type that's a medic, or the person that gives you missions briefings. Not a fighter, despite the assault rifle. Like another Miranda. It just feels like a wrong change. Especially under a year since Horizon.

We know what happened with DA2. They switched art leads. Although I don't think that's happened here.

Since all galactic life is eradicated every 50,000 years - Asari could not craft any kind of armor before humans existed.

Oh dude REALLY?!!!

Geez, that's what I get for using a metaphor. Humanity didn't exist in the galactic community until the 2150s. Until then, they were unknown to the other races in the galaxy. Or are you just trying to be dense?<_<

It is in case of Ash and Kaidan. Not sure about Vega and Liara. If the guy in blue armor in the E3 gameplay videos and trailer was Vega, then his standard armor is completly different.

And that means?

That her standard Spectre armour will have exactly the same stockings, "skirt", heels etc. Though Casey did say we can put her in some actual armor.

From the gameplay perspective, Ashley's current suit is ARMOR.

Well if that's the case, then I REALLY don't see why people are complaining.

When and where was this? I missed that, and the opportunity to get her into something more substantial than that monstrosity can't come soon enough.
