First of all... Ashley was ALWAYS attractive.. and more so IMO when she was wearing practical armor to go along with her practical personality. Second... based on her personality Ash wouldn't even be caught dead going into battle wearing that.

A little recolor so she doesn't look exactly like Kaidan. I started making the lines pink but it was a bit ridiculous and red looked better to me.

Excellent stuff. Where did that armor model come from or did you draw it yourself?

Incidentally, Ashley has always been portrayed in media and in ME2 wearing red and white armor. Only ME1 put her in pink stuff, even though the box art and everything showed her in red. (the red and white armor was missing from ME1 entirely in-game)

Anyway, Bioware needs to hire you to design their characters (and/or whoever drew/contributed to that pic). I can't believe they're putting her goddamn high heels. That is so damned stupid and distracting.

I... I have to kill her now. I can't suffer her to trapse around on the battlefield in high heels.

Please. Your constant worship of the character's decisions as if she were real and free-thinking on her own is a weak deflection from the fact that she's been made this way by a team of 99% sexist males catering to other sexist males even at the cost of undermining this formerly strong female character. Denying that there's exploitation against women here. It's convenient for you to make excuses for their misogyny because, to paraphrase, you've actually said this Ashley doesn't qualify as "sexy enough."

So because they give her an attracive appearance, they are sexist? That's dumb.

So as long as she's constantly exposed for titllation even on the battlefield then you value her. Except she's still not being exposed enough for you. That's dumb.

What the hell are you even talking about?

Exposed for titillation? It's not a damn catsuit. Chill out. You are taking a potential look too far.

Did you not read ANY of my posts before that? And I just realized you are a damn hypocrite. I've seen you complain about people complaining about s/s romance. But if I do it about this, it's somehow wrong????

Not really, as s/s romance is optional and for all we know right now, these outfits are not optional.

I don't think anyone cares about this outfit as long as there's an alternate option to put Ash in armor.

And that's what Casey Hudson said.

Casey Hudson is welcome to SHOW ME any time he wants. A vaguely reassuring tweet isn't good enough. Until I SEE something, I'm going to express my concerns about what I'm SEEING in the meantime.

As far as the s/s comment goes, what the hell are you even talking about? Actually, you know what, don't tell me, because that's not what THIS thread is about.

Bioware will do it when ever they feel like it. And maybe you shouldn't whine "express your concerns" about something you hardly know anything about. That look is potentially not even final.

Better to complain and risk being wrong, than to remain silent and lose the opportunity to change an aspect about the game you feel passionate about.

All the more reason to express my concerns. It's not too late to change it. If you don't like what I have to say on the subject, TOO BAD. I suggest you get glad in the same pants you got mad in. Or not.

Yep nothing to worry about. She's not really wearing a mini skirt, wedge heels, and thigh high boots during a Reaper attack

Don't suppose you also saw how Anderson and Shepard were dressed by any chance? Oh look casual wear! Caught in a surprise attack by the reapers of course you're going to be in casual wear.

Why do I even bother posting or coming on these forums for that matter. Everyone just seems to complain and complain with maybe the odd troll now and then.

I hope Bioware has the integrity to keep the styling they want and to do what they want with their game!

Christina does not work for Bioware anymore(unless that changed while I was not looking) so anything she says about Biowares new vision or saying someone is wrong about lore can be taken with a grain of salt, no offense Norman if your reading this. More so when there is evidence to support what that person said in that lore tweet.

If Bioware wants to change characters in the last game, that's there decision but they better be ready for angry fans and they better not blame the fanbase for no liking this path.

Well put. Her character designs no longer fit her character. Well unless she transformed into a bimbo between ME1 and ME2.

Why the heck would they offer re-colors of Kaidan, Vega and Liara's armor, oh, and also a re-color of the casual outfit Ashley won't be wearing in battle?

It's her armor, it's not casual.

He specifcally mentioned helmets as well, if I recall. As someone said earlier in this thread, a helmet wouldn't go with her outfit at all. So I think that means different armor as well.

Ok so no breathing mask this time, that still does not mean anything. That means Ash will run around with some of her neck showing while she wears a helmet

And what if they actually enter space, like in ME1? She won't be showing any neck.

Depends on the helmet and if 'helmet' includes 'breather masks'.

Help me do WHAT? To quote Elvira, Mistress of the Dark: "If I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you."

You're trying to pooh-pooh many people's very real concerns about Ashley's characterization with a random tweet from Casey Hudson. I'm not so easily mollified. Now if it was a PICTURE, that would be a different story.

You have consistently and completely missed every point I've tried to make about CONSISTENCY. So I'll spell it out for you YET AGAIN.

Kaidan in ME1: Light armor only
Kaidan in ME2: Medium armor, new design (on Horizon at least)
Kaidan in ME3: Medium armor from what we've seen so far

Ashley in ME1: Heavy armor, as well as medium and light
Ashley in ME2: Same as ME1 from what we can tell.
Ashley in ME3: Clothing with some attached armor pieces from what we've seen so far.

Understand?

That means Ash will have to wear armour and I doubt that will happen when Bioware has showen nothing to support it but a tweet from Chud that can be taken in anyway like jlb said.

A breather mask is most definitely NOT a helmet, as it is a MASK.

It's not a cat-suit... but it doesn't seem to fit what we know of her. I'm not going to throw an apocalyptic fit over it, but I will raise an eyebrow, wonder if my adept is going to get something similiar (really, really, do not want to run around a battlefield with garters) and be somewhat glad that I saved Kaidan over Ashley most of the time.

I do value function over form, and while this outfit would make sense for a female adept or infiltrator, unless Ashley is no longer a soldier (which is concievable, since she could easily have gone infilitrator), this is not something I percieve a battle-hardened soldier vaulting into war with. Casual outfit sure, but front line, not so much. It's something I'd expect a mostly biotic character to wear, tbh.
