Any complaint can be given the whine label.  It's incredibly easy to do if you're not going to look at the merits of the complaint.  And why would anyone do so if they already disagree with the complaint?

It's a smokescreen tactic to get others to devalue the argument or concern put forth.  Nothing more.

And big bad wolf does it a lot.

Many people like Ashley's new look. I may not, but I wouldn't want to rob others of their enjoyment at my expense.

Isn't pleasing both sides without needlessly catering to one party preferable to telling one group to screw off?

This image isn't a drawing. This outfit is already rendered and textured. There's no need to ask them to keep it, there is no way they'll get rid of it this late in its development and after already showing it at E3. We don't have to show support for people who like the go-go dress, they're going to get it in-game regardless.

What should I be grateful for? Bioware isn't giving me this **** for free out of the kindness of their hearts. I'm paying a customer. I pay for this ****.

I don't need to be grateful, none of this is a gift. It's a product I have to pay for.

Their male character designs are fine. However they've completely forgotten how to design female characters without turning them into sex objects. They need to bring back the team that made Mass Effect 1. They knew what the hell they were doing. The ME2 and ME3 teams clearly don't.

Just put Ashley in the armor she wore in ME2. That looked great on her and it fits her character.

Then don't buy the game, jesus christ.

Ah but you see, we want to buy the game! Thats the whole point mate.

Pretty sure a dev said earlier in the threat that this was something up in the air that they gave out so they show that they had something to begin with.

At this point, I'm hoping that they let us stick her in heavy armour. Both sides win- you can either keep the skirt suit or put her in the turbo wear most of us know and love.

FALSE. This new picture is indicative of the way they are going with the armor design in general, we've seen what Ash wore at E3, and so far NO ONE has shown us that she can wear actual plated armor, and/or Kaidan can wear light...

This is the time to speak up NOT wait for the game to come out and facepalm to death because that's all we'll be able to do other then trying to crack the ME3 codes to mod the damn thing to do what we want...

Will you pull the panties out of your crack and relax already...
Casey Hudson already stated Ashley will be able to wear armor and a helmet.

So the decision on whether or not to buy the game rests on Ashley wearing heavy armor?

Uh, yeah, that's great, but it's still alternative/optional, and certainly not what Casey meant when he said there would be more default looks.

Here's an idea. Give us multiple armors like they did in ME1, instead of asking us to pay for multiple retarded ones. Because I suspect that's what they'll do; Ashley's Reaper outfit, Ashley's mech-killer outfit, Ashley's Saturday night outfit...with lip gloss ( just 15 ms points more, meow)

My point is if you think what Ashely's wearing makes her a sex symbol, than you have a very underdeveloped sense of sex. As I've stated numerous times, I don't like the outfit, but some of you act like she's dressed in DOA style-attire.

Do I like it? No. Do I think she was made that way for ****** material? Hell no. It's just a normal looking outfit.

And honestly, even if it is the only thing she can wear - which I don't believe, I do take Case and Chris at their word - it's not a big deal for me and I don't think it automatically means her entire character is ruined. There are a lot of reasons for someone to like Ash, and the way she dresses is a small part of it. I thought her leaning towards heavy armor was cool in ME1, but that's hardly the only thing I liked about her.

BioWare is presenting her this way for titillation-appeal. You might not respond to their ploy, but that doesn't excuse BioWare for "glamming up" a female Marine grunt in a way that's harmful towards women.

It's not titallating. Hell, female business suits are more revealing.

You know what, I'm done arguing. But I'll say this - if you guys feel that strongly in your CRUSADE AGAINST CHAUVINISM, stop whining on a Bioware forum, make a sign, and go join a march somewhere, instead of spouting a bunch of cliches you heard on TV.

You claim it's not titillating just because you don't think it titillates enough. So what? BioWare is still singling out women for skintight catsuits (I do hate the way they colored Liara's red outfit to make her more like Samara) in an effort to titillate guys at the expense of making all the women characters jokes on the battlefield.

Tsk. Attacking chauvinist toys is the best way, IMO. Right here. Not some segregated free-speech zone you can just ignore.

An IMAGE. Who knows what Casey Hudson has in mind when he says "armor and a helmet" where women are concerned. The watchword in ME2 was T&A, and there's no indication of that changing so far.

"Not finalized" isn't the same as "up in the air", though. It's incredibly polished, if anything 'finalizing' will mean minor tweaks. Maybe more last-minute, atrocious headgear like in the previous AAPs. Maybe that's why Ash and Kaidan weren't on the box, because they haven't gotten their ugly visors yet.

I don't see them scrapping or making significant changes to it with it already in the working game as we saw in the demo.

Exactly. But by offering a positive comment Bioware employees are more likely to continue reading a post (aka our desired feedback for a proper Ashley) than one that is nothing but constant bickering. Afterall, wouldn't you dismiss a review that was overly harsh without offering criticism? We don't have to worship their new design, but we shouldn't completely dismiss Bioware's original concept.

Plus, I am not singling anybody out - this is directed at the forums in general.

Yes.. to automatically assume that by "armor and a helmet" CHud means something along the lines of what we got in ME1 is just naive.  Don't believe me?  Familiarize yourself with ME1 and 2 and the signifigant changes that have ALREADY occured to our beloved characters.

If you want chill, you're in the wrong forums, pal.

The whole point of these forums is to discuss these things. So why don't you un-chill and actually contribute something?
