Really? You'd accuse Jacob of wearing a catsuit when it's convenient for you, but when Ashley here is stuck wearing the exact same thing albeit with even more exploitative encumberances, suddenly that's not a catsuit? Which is it? You can't have it both ways.
Every one of your posts in this thread so far has gone towards supporting this exposed and exploited Ashley. The fact that you would favor the ridiculousness of putting women in such danger just so long as they look pretty by being vulnerable is how you've been idealizing her. You shouldn't defend BioWare's cop-out idiocy here. None of us should.
Hudson also maintained that asari aren't actually female as one of his past attempts to dodge our warranted accusations of sexism, misogyny, exploitation, and homophobia in the way the asari are presented. And there's the entirety of ME2 that he was responsible for. I won't trust anything "good" he says about female characters. He's had nothing to show for a long, long time.
My posts have gone towards chilling the hell out. It's not as if they made her look like Harley Quinn from BAtman Arkham Asylum.
Jacob's catsuit was showing his ass crack as that is how tight it was. As was Miranda's. Ashely doesn't even show anything. It is NOT a catsuit.
Your posts have gone towards trying to get people like me to shut up, just so you can get off on harmful female exploitation in a way that runs counter to actual standards people like I have regarding this issue.
Mmmhmmm. Catsuit, catsuit...hmmm. Oh, perhaps I'm thinking Michelle Pfeiffer whereas you're thinking Halle Berry. Either way, your proposed definition of catsuits is incorrect. You think referencing the lack of "butt-crack" alone is enough to try and ignore all the many other ways Ashley in ME3 is being overly exposed in spite of her nature as a Marine? Come, now. I'll be very surprised if Ashley's catsuit doesn't reveal butt crack, but something tells me it will. You shouldn't try to limit the definition out of convenience if you haven't done enough research. But I don't mind going over this again with you.
Ashley has skintight fabric without any pockets or places to store a shield-generator or healing-system that she once had in her Marine hardsuit. So now, as a pure solder and without the aid of any tech or biotic skills this catsuit will be her supposed protection against bullets, biotics, tech, asphyxiation, and melee. Maybe even poisons. Who knows! She's also got high-heels that mess with her balance and thus they restrict her combat viability. Thigh-high boots and miniskirt of the same nature. Open-collar above her heart too, my my. Even if you were to claim that the material of her catsuit were tough, why would she be unzipped?
What were you saying about her catsuit being unrevealing? Or, not revealing enough to you, I mean?
But of course, of course. Ashley's not wearing "Princess Leia slave outfit"
yet and so to you this here isn't
really exploiting women
.
