Kaiden looks super-awesome in full armour. Not so sure about the other guy though, I'm assuming that's James Vega? He looks like a bit of a meathead :s perhaps he has krogan genes somehow...

Anyway, makes logical sense to me that the appearances would be tweaked from the ones released 9 months before the game drops. If you're making an announcement, you've got to have something to show for it. Same reason why Mordin has a different VA in the E3 demo when (from what I've heard anyway) he will still be voiced by Michael Beattie in the final game.

Vega looks like something out of an Unreal Tournament game - Do Not Like. Also his mouth is HUGE!

As for the rest? I like them!

A somewhat armored catsuit that still allows for ass shots isn't much better.

Hudson is a monster. He has just forced BSN to find a new topic to whine in only two tweets.

Armored catsuit?

I have heard just about everything.
"A catsuit[/i] is a close-fitting one-piece garment that covers the torso and the legs, and frequently the arms."
"They are usually made from stretchable material, such as lycrachiffonspandex (after 1959), leatherlatexPVC, or velour, and frequently close using azipper at the front or back."

I honestly think you people crying bloody vengeance over Ash's outfit should sit back and calm down. We still don't know if that's her only outfit/reskin, so perhaps we should wait and see, then freak out?

Please. The blue-version of this catsuit is her default appearance, which BioWare made sure all their dudebros and wannabes could see during E3.

This trash is going to be a female Marine grunt's default appearance. Meanwhile, the heavy mech armor is going to be Marine sentinel Kaidan's default appearance. Logic fail, unless you're on BioWare's team or a wannabe for BioWare's team, both deying the existence of blatant sexism and misogyny in the presentation thus far.

Or just take your torches and pitchforks, set course for Bioware HQ and be done with it if that's what you really want.

Doing it here is better.

We don't have to back up our protests in the least. BioWare is the one that needs to defend itself for this BS.

Seriously...  as a woman I have no problem with the outfit in general...  it's the character that's it's on that bothers me.  While I admit it is probably for titilation,  I really don't think the purpose behind it is to tear women down.  I've had problems with bioware's portrayal of women before,  but,  this isn't one of them and I'm not entirely sure why you're being so passionate about it.

Darn Ash's tin foil skirt line in ME1.

I'd prefer her in heavy armor, akin to femshep's Kestrel Armor style, and in Pink and White colors.

Kaiden looks awesome. Good job!

Ashley, Vega and Liara... I only like the armor color. Nothing else.

Not a fan of Liara's Samara-wannabe armor, and Kaidan is wearing heavy armor.... idk. Ashley's revamp is hawt, I don't care what people say. Put her in a cat suit she looks great in anything!

Casey won't lie about something like this, especially when he's mentioned it twice now.

I hope this also means that Kaidan and Vega will have alternate outfits that dress them down somewhat.

They had better. Hudson's twitter pointedly dodged the fact that his women characters thus far are still being singled out for exploitation, and that's even with or without the "option" of full armor. Because the men atm are still "safe" from this BS as far as we know, thanks to the double standards of sexism and homophobia. BioWare is quick to advertise the Ashley catsuit as her default first and foremost, and it seems they're determined to keep it for the Dead Or Alive gamers in a way that pisses on those of us who don't like it when women are treated as jokes.

"will also have full armor" means f all. That says she'll still come with the unreasonable catsuit and we can all infer that BioWare is either unwilling to commit to equal-opportunity exploitation with Kaidan in the same sense, and/or unwilling to advertise even if they were willing to commit as they were oh-so-willing to exploit Ashley. Either way is still no good, since females should not be singled-out for this burden. BioWare needs to eliminate the asinine catsuits, or else put everybody in them.

This is it really.
I think the problem is, after the one / two hit colour change of ME2's outfits, people are now expecting the worse.

If there are a few different options for choice allowing people to change the squads clothing beyond a re-colour, there shouldn't be a huff-uffle.

That said, until there is evidence to the contrary (gameplay, screenshots etc), considering the game is still in a state of flux, its a hard pill to swallow.

As always, I am unconcerned with Ash's look as I believe that is her formal wear for the trial - I am however curious as to why her boobs have grown bigger.

Isn't it reasonable to assume that, as Bioware has stated they're adding far more customization to both Shepard, weapons, powers, and squadmates, that they will give you an option to put armor on ALL of your squad (especially Ash, considering she's an actual soldier, unlike some other members of the team)? Have a little faith people. I know you're perception of what BW was getting at with the series in ME2 was shaken (with squad members running around in next to nothing) but I think there is a very simply solution to that, that Shepard himself stated: "Technically this [The Normandy SR-2] is a civilian ship."

You were not working with a military group in ME2, and I believe that is what BW was trying to convey by putting the team in the outfits they were in. Simple as that. My guess is that in ME#, being back with the Alliance, that is going to be changing...

Ash does look great. She looks sexy even.

The problem people have ISN'T that she looks bad (well, most peoples it appears), its that it goes against what her character stands for and appears to be doing so for the sake of putting sexy females in the game.

That advertising panel screams - Man BIG ARMOUR - MUST BE MANLY. Woman - Skin tight LATEX - Big BOOBIES - Must be WOMANLY.

I find it hilarious how half of these people that hate Ash's new look complain how Bioware think they're some horny adolescent when all their whining proves otherwise. Mind you... not everyone is like this but the ****ing is getting ****** off annoying.

CASEY HUDSON HAS SAID "Also lots of questions about Ashley. We've only showed her in a jacket outfit & its CE variant. She will also have full armor and helmet."

Why do do people keep acting like she's only going to have one or two costumes when all the devs have promising a BIGGER economy and MORE customization?!

You want Bioware to treat you like adults? Then, start acting like one.

You don't even need to think that deeply.

Casey just said that: a. Only one Ashley outfit has been shown so far, and that's the jacket outfit. She has been confirmed to get full armour and helmet. b. Liara's and Vega's faces are not final.

Glad to read CHud's tweet. I guess at this point we have squeezed all the juice out of this thread.

Indeed, having no ass would probably complicate many things in every day life. You need to get food that your body doesn't need out somehow. Think what not having an ass would cause.

I kid, I kid.
