What's that S1 on Ashley's armor? Is it her new vocational code?

I'm very disappointed that it appears that 'alternate outfits' just turn out to be simple recolours, and i would be very surprised if they will have statistics attachted to them, to give us a reason to choose different ones.

I'm diggin it. James Vega looks a bit uninspired but that's just probably not knowing the character. Red looks new on Liara. I like Kaidan and Ashley.

I only like my Ash one way, and thats with heavy armor, like a proper soldier of her ability should wear... I was able to tolerate the blue lighter armor, but this skirt-and-high-heel ensemble is going to far, and even worse its trying to channel the old Ash with the color scheme!

Also, why the HELL is Liara in Justicar armor??

Only Samara can rock it, as she's a proper Justicar.

If this pic of alternate outfits is real, then I gotta say the M.E. art department has officially gone overboard like DA2's art team. Whats next? Are we going to see Tali in see-through plastic leggings and arms that makes it look like she's wearing a breastplate, boots, gauntlets, and a metal bikini like some female Barbarian-class warrior?

EDIT: This is overall in a joking tone, but still! I want my squaddies in armor during battle! Releasing the second alternate appearance pack made me so happy because it allows Miranda to have armor in battle

I think its too late. We all know the Bioware mod/overlords hear all, see all, so chances are they picked up this idea as soon as I posted and now the Mass Effect team is working on this outfit for Tali

I'm not a fan of the "skirt" look to Ash's armour. Why can't she just rock the practical, badass armour that she has worn in the past? Kaidan's ok, Vega looks totally boring, Liara looks pretty good (why can't Ash have armour similar to that?).

If anything Kaidan should be wearing some sort of catsuit and Ash should be in heavy armor. As it is it doesn't look like I'll be needing this particular appearance pack (the standard armor of both Kaidan and Liara looks much nicer anyway).

Don't think anybody had found a high-rez pic of Vega before + Ash in full view (we've only seen her up the torso in previous magazine scans). I'm guessing this is legit as far as it goes.

Kaidan looks awesome, by far the best among the group... and the new hair model looks nice 
I wonder if he'll get some sort of Tech Armor skill...

Liara's back to her LotSB model in this one (deep blue eyes, blue lipstick) which I prefer over her pink lipstick look. I don't mind the outfit but the color scheme and that headband makes her look too much like Samara.

I'm fine with Vega, just not the hair... shave the fauxhawk, keep the shaved hair... Don't mind him keeping the eyepiece only if he's an infiltrator or a sniping soldier (most probably the latter). He looks extremely young though.

Ash... umm... would rather she keep the Phoenix Armor because it is so iconic of her. Although the first thing I noticed in Ash is her nose... The lighting make it looks like DA2 elf nose for a moment ><
Don't mind if she keeps this only as her alternate appearance because I'm sure there are people who is gonna prefer her in that, I love the color scheme though...

Ash gear looks more like a lab uniform then combat gear. Although from what Miri wore in ME2 cant say im to surprised any more.

It's not enough to stop me from being excited to see Ashley return but still, what the f*ck? Do we really need a skirt and stockings now? Wasn't Ashley once considered the one female character in Mass Effect who WASN'T meant to be oversexualized?
She was a soldier, one who had a no nonsense attitude and kicked the asses of badguys while wearing appropriate combat gear, and now her appearance has the same 'DURRR MUST BE MAED TO LOOK HOT LOL!" attitude that every female character in gaming keeps getting.

All the same, I still love Ash and even if they've done a pretty good job of messing up her appearance, if she's still the same girl under that, it won't matter. I can handle the aesthetical change of Ashley, it annoys me greatly, but for now I'll deal with what I've got.
