From ME1, isn't there a plot thread that still needs to be resolved? I recall her having us plant bugs or something similar in the control tower of the Citadel because of rumors of it being understaffed with a spaceship collision waiting to happen.

Hmm, sounds just like LaGuardia Airport in NYC, except the spaceships are really old, under-serviced jet plans that should have been retired years ago....

@ Captian Kibosh, That was about the Citadel traffic Controllers being overworked and dangerously close to starting to make terrible accidents.

I just wanted to inform everyone that I created a 'Poll' It's in my OP.Vote for Emily Wong as a L.I. for Shepard in Mass Effect 3 and embedded journalist on the Normandy...

Damn... I was just over in the "Kelly romance continuation in ME3..." Thread.
It's up to page 7 now.While this thread is only on Page 2 :( I know that it has been around for over a month.But we have to do better over here.I checked out my "Poll" "Emily Wong's Role in Mass Effect 3 -- Should be as an Embedded Journalist (on Commander Shepard's star-ship) and love interest for Shepard"

And where it was once that the "Yes" or "No"  votes were hyper-close.Now 58% of the votes say "No" and 41% say "Yes". What's up with that?! :blink: Why are so many people around these parts opposed to Ms.Wong's role in ME 3 being enhanced? :crying: I actually think she and Kelly have alot in common.They are two of the few ordinary but far from medicore people in the Mass Effect Universe.There not transhuman science projects, super soldiers or exotic aliens.Kelly and Emily are young beautiful 'human female' proffesionals.

Emily to me, would be a much better Love Interest for Shepard outside of his squadmates; than Kelly is.I like the idea of a soldier of all people falling in love with a reporter.Given the more than not 'not so good relationships betwixt these two great instituitions.The military and media...

There is such potential here BioWare -- Don't let naysayers in my "Poll' lead you to think that enhancing Emily Wong's role in Mass Effect 3, is a bad idea...

SUPPORT EMILY WONG AS AN EMBEDDED JOURNALIST ON THE NORMANDY SR-2 IN ME 3 and LOVE INTEREST FOR COMMANDER SHEPARD :wub:

I think it's the LI part that people were voting no on.  Just my thought.

Anyway, you asked about my fanfic of Wong's interview of Shepard.  Here is it.

I think that one of (if not the main) reasons why I like the idea of having Emily Wong as an embedded journalist on the Normandy SR-2 and love interest for Commander Shepard.Is because I finally think that i might understand why Superman decided to be with Lois Lane instead of Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman...

So many of the people that Shepard works with can look out for themselves.The women who accompany him are fierce and very powerful.They"got this" as they say. :P These women don't need a big strong man to watch
there six.But I find that i feel very protective of Ms.Wong...

While in the Lair of the Shadowbroker - whilst viewing the vids.When I saw her speaking with a seemingly irate hanar (from its body language) by a skycar on fire.My kevin Costner - The Bodyguard side of my personality
awakened:

And i liked it... :wizard:

Here's Emily's Exclusive Interveiw with Lira Speight:

11/23/2010 - Sonax Industries' Lira Speight Interviewed By Emily Wong

“In the first half of an exclusive 90-minute (Citadel standard) interview, Sonax Industries supreme commander Lira Speight sat down with the Future Content Corporation's Emily Wong and answered questions about the war on Garvug.

"We -- and I mean the army, not the board -- had a nearly impossible task once the insurgency was established," she says, "and success would not have been financially possible without Umsung Holdings' backing. I presented the idea to the higher-ups of letting some negative stories through on the comm buoys to win trust with the news media, but it developed into more. The president of Umsung was good friends with Sonax's chairman; when the offer was made, the idea clicked: the board realized the power of winning by losing. From that moment on, we played the wounded bird and gave the snakes exactly what they wanted to see."

[*]

11/24/2010 - Sonax Industries' Lira Speight Interviewed By Emily Wong (Part 2)

“In the second half of Emily Wong's interview with Sonax supreme commander Lira Speight, the admiral alternately argues about, confesses to, and speculates about the moral repugnance of her actions.

"I don't regret the deception," she said, "to shareholders or anyone else. What keeps me up at night is [the death of Brigadier General] Noah [Vardos]. He knew the real strategy, but he saw good people dying under him;
Garvug residents dying for no reason - it haunted him." As to the civillian casualties, she responded:

"Our test story, the video of krogan being executed, that wasn't genuine, but damn few people questioned it.
Once we saw the public's saturation point, when they weren't shocked any more and just wanted it over, we gave them what they demanded, as fast as we could."”

You go girl :wizard:  Image IPB

Been thinking... You know that 'Investment Opportunity' in the Lair of
the Shadow Broker titled, Embedded Correspondence:

Citadel news agencies are trying to place more reporters in the
Terminus Systems.Use your resources to set up these journalist with
safe houses and reliable contacts so they can bring back news from the
galaxy's frontier.

I wonder if we decide to invest in it.Will the outcome have any impact
on what Emily Wong is up to in Mass Effect 3?

Even though she was just generic female model #?? (I actually confused her and that one that has you rescue her sister from Chora's Den, can't remember her name), Emily Wong is probably the non-essential NPC I care about the most. When I first played through ME1 I expected to be able to bone any female that talked to me (the reasonable expectation of any guy, right?:?) and she was the first one I ran into on the Citadel. Sadly this was not the case. Then when I got an email from her in ME2 (after punching Al Jilani again) asking why I didn't come see my favorite reporter I was like "Where the hell were you??"
I fully support the reuniting of Shepard and Emily and the many adventures they'll have punching Al Jilani.

Ps. Not a troll post. I know it looks bad if I have to say that but I really do like Emily Wong and I hope we see more of her in ME3.

Just wanted to stop by with a bit of News.I sent Mac Walters a Tweet,  about our favorite reporter and this is what he said:

 @WootN713 Jan

@macwalterslives Emily Wong should have a bigger role in ME3, as an Embedded Journalist on the Normandy SR2. Please consider this.

Mac Walters@macwalterslives14 Jan

@WootN7 We have considered it....

Its sort of cryptic, but perhaps it bodes well Image IPB

1: They could spruce up her Model so she looks unique instead of a pallete swap...

and 2. Us Emily lovers have been robbed cause the big B just made a new reporter to be on the Normandy and she's a possible love interest

Explain this treason Bioware, Explain this Treason!

Even though she's not the embedded journalist we need to see more of Emily. She should also have some sort of reaction regarding Diana. Old classmates? Former rivals? Something.
Moar Emily!

More Emily,

what's Wong with Bioware?
you devote a section of Lair of the sahdow broker to her... meaning she is of some importance... or the Broker likes Asian girls >.> but still...

She could still play some other part of some significance. There is a plausible explanation behind the Normandy assignment though. She's a civilian on the Citadel while Diana is presumably trained as a wartime reporter and works for the Alliance.

Yeah, it would appear that Emily Wong has "took an arrow to the knee" :P  I don't know what BioWare is playing at =] But Diana Allers seems like she could be an interesting new addition to the residence of the Normandy SR 2.And Emily isn't a war correspondant.But neither is Dr.Chloe Michel a doctor who fixes up wounded soldiers, but I thought it would be cool, if she decided to be by Shepard's side.Because she appreciates all he and Garrus did for her.

I just don't want these really good  female characters from Mass Effect 1 to be forgotten... :crying:
