I purchased Dragon Age 2 within two
days of it coming out on the shelves and I was really excited to play the
game. However, once I loaded the game
onto my laptop I tried the play the game but nothing would happen. The opening screen would appear, I pressed
the play button, the opening screen would disappear, but nothing would
happen.
I contacted EA tech support to
help me with this issue and I got up to tier-3 tech support but they still could
not fix the issue. They thought there
must be something wrong with my computer, but it exceeds all of the
requirements for the game.
I recently download
the demo to see if it would work on my laptop, and it did! There were no issues and the game ran very
smoothly. So to my understanding the full
game should work if the demo did. Has
anyone else run into this problem, and have a solution? I would appreciate any help.

No matter whether it had involved DAO, DA2, ME1, or ME2, it omitted large amounts of the needed data that the readers, if there were more than just a couple (and we are few on this US holiday), need when attempting to assist. The sticky to follow for DA2 starts out with these words "Before anything else".
It also is most helpful to go ahead and follow standard business style regarding spelling, punctuation, capitalization, paragraph breaks, and line formatting. The OP seems to have formatted his / her message elsewhere with a ton of totally unnecessary hard line breaks in the wrong places.

Use the DA2 tech forum for DA2 issues. Also, hijacking anothers thread is bad form... if you need help with DAO, create a new topic with the appropriate, detailed information.
