Game Not Starting Up at All

I purchased Dragon Age 2 within two
days of it coming out on the shelves and I was really excited to play the
game. However, once I loaded the game
onto my laptop I tried the play the game but nothing would happen. The opening screen would appear, I pressed
the play button, the opening screen would disappear, but nothing would
happen.

I contacted EA tech support to
help me with this issue and I got up to tier-3 tech support but they still could
not fix the issue. They thought there
must be something wrong with my computer, but it exceeds all of the
requirements for the game.

I recently download
the demo to see if it would work on my laptop, and it did! There were no issues and the game ran very
smoothly. So to my understanding the full
game should work if the demo did. Has
anyone else run into this problem, and have a solution? I would appreciate any help.

OK, I just got it to work on my laptop after two months of working on it (even with EA tech support)! All that I needed to do was search online for "DragonAge2.exe file" and I used this link:http://www.fileserve.com/file/ZyFKuyf I know that it looks like a Spam sight, but it worked for me. So I downloaded the one file that I needed and I inserted it into my Dragon Age 2 folder (My Computer/Local Disk(C:)/Program Files(x86)/Electronic Arts/Dragon Age™II/bin_ship)

I hope that this information will help someone else out! And I will let EA know that it was a very simple fix for my particular issue.
