There seem to have been a lot of people having trouble finding the daupdater on windows 7 after downloading Dragon Age: Origins from steam, so here is a quick suggestion on where to look.
Remember: I have windows 7 64-bit and I downloaded from steam.
Click the completed download of what you want to install with daupdater and when it asks you what you want to open it with, select the browse option. If it's not there already, select the next browse option and get to "program files". You will either find "steam" in the first base menu of program files or under "common files". However, I just searched for daupdater using the provided search bar there and found it.
It should be noted that I could not find it in program files without clicking on the downloaded file of the thing I wanted to download and clicking the two browse options in succession. Steam didn't show up at all there untill I went there through this process.
