I know Loghain is supposed to show up in Awakening if he's alive at the end of Origins, and should show up at the Vigil at some point to have a chat.

I have currently completed 2/3 of the main quest, and he still hasn't shown up.

Could someone tell me when he's supposed to pop up, or if there is some other requirement I'm missing?

I'm about to start the final seige, and still no Loghain. :( I'm a sad panda. This was one of the 2 play throughs I had planned to let him live past the Archdemon, and the other won't be getting imported to Awakening since it's a US ending for my pc. Does it have to do with the Frenzy axe? I know he is supposed to turn it over to you at the keep, but I got it from a quest. If you do the quest and get it as a reward, does that keep him from showing up to give it to you?

He shows up talking to Seneschal at some point around mid game. I think you need to visit there at a specific time as it may not be story related.

He gives you a nice weapon as I remember.

I saw a Youtube video where he was talking to a female Human Noble Warden, that might be a condition.

Ah.  So if you rolled from one quest to another without stopping at the keep, you pretty much skip over the part he would've been visiting in?  Boo. :(

If anyone who has triggered the Loghain visit could provide any information on when it happens, character information that might be required, or what quests they had completed prior to finding him there, I would greatly appreciate it.

Not that I'm a Loghain fangirl.  I've read the books and know that he was a much different person prior to the game.

Later during the events of Awakening (if a Warden was imported with Loghain alive at the end), he arrives at Vigil's Keep and states that he has been transferred to the city of Montsimmard to serve with the Orlesian Grey Wardens, by order of the Grey Warden leaders in Weisshaupt. He hands the Warden-Commander the battleaxe Frenzy, ten sovereigns and a Grey Warden shield banner he found in the Denerim vault before departing. If, as a Male, Human Noble, you married Anora, he will make a number of comments about that, including plans for an heir.

Yes, but that only says 'if a warden was imported with Loghain alive at the end'. Doesn't really give specifics about when he shows up, or what is required to trigger his visit.

As the King-Consort and if Loghain's alive, he shows up at Vigil's keep after you clear 2 of the main quest lines. There is some dialog about him getting reassigned to Orlais. He also spouts some lines asking when you and Anora will get around to having an heir and ends the dialog by giving you 10 gold.

Seems pretty straight forward. You have to be married to Anora, her father has to be alive, and you have to clear 2 of the main quest lines.

(husband)

You should be really close to seeing him.   If I recall he shows up in the keep hall when you have one last quest to solve.

Edit: I don't think you need to marry Anora, Mike.  I seem to recall my female elf rogue archer ranger met him.   You get the same dialogue only the line asking about if he can expect a grandchild in the future is omited.

To reiterate what my husband posted above:)... you don't have to be married to Anora.  I made a video of the cameo, on a female Warden who is, obviously, not married to Anora.

Marrying Anora is definitely not necessary. He showed up in my male Dalish Elf playthrough (who put Anora on the throne and exiled Alistair) after I completed the second of the three main quests.

After the 2 main quests got complete, I got the peasant revolt, but still no Loghain. :( Must've bugged my game somehow.
