I have made custom spell for applying on items. Such as custom potion, or custom buff.

I can have them in game behave propely with custom Icon, resref for text and so on.

But in the toolset I can't have them on the list of item propety. Anyone got an IDea on how to have them displayed on the item property of the toolset?

What I am missing ?

edit :
Found the problem, it's vicious.

I am using a custom TLK. The toolset doesn't load the TLK from the document directory, and doesn't override, the default TLK in the NWN2 main directory with it.

To have those propety appear, you need to replace the TLK in the NWN2 main directory.

That's true, if you're talking about an override dialog.tlk. The toolset will display entries from a custom TLK linked to a module, however.

Also, if you've got something showing up in the list of item properties in the toolset, you must have overidden some 2DA's as well, right? (iprp_spells or whichever is relevant). I'm just asking out of curiosity on this one.

I have completed 2Da yup, new spell entry in spell 2DA and new entry in iprp_spells 2da as well.

I link my 2da in a special hak with only 2da. So i am sure they'll be the one in charge, and they are easy to complete or change, and the user won't have to empty is override directory.

Yeah make sure you have copies of any 2das you use in the toolset override even if the 2da's your using in the Toolset are stored in a Hak.

The toolset seems to ignore certain 2das found in a hak (while the game reads them just fine from a hak), or at least thats something ive run into often.

Dont replace your original TLK thats not a good thing to do, as MasterChanger mentions just associate the custom TLK to the module in the modules module properties and save it and reopen the module up again in the Toolset.

Also make sure your toolset copy of the TLK is in the TLK folder of the toolset, thats where they are supposed to be stored.

nop it's in the NWN2 directory or it won't load it for the TLK.

The whole question is whether this custom content is intended to be linked to a module (like The Fred's custom content for Dragon Dynasty, for example) or to go in override (like Kaedrin's, for example).

If it's intended to be part of a module, then you would use haks (as it sounds like you are) and a custom TLK associated with the module. Otherwise, it's all override content.

If you are using a custom TLK and entries from it do not show up in the toolset, I can tell you that something is wrong with how it's associated with the module. It might take some playing with to get it associated right, but if you do it will absolutely show in the toolset. For example, for a PW project I used an override racial_subtypes.2da with names linked to a custom TLK. Once I associated the TLK with the module, those new names showed up in the toolset.

Here's a thread discussing how to use custom TLK's.

The problem isn't to show the custom text in toolset.

The problem is the custom list of spelll you can can give to an item.

I managed that - I added custom spells with scrolls to handle them - is that what kind of thing you are trying to do?

It's ok I have everything working in toolset. Before it was only working in game, it was ok when I had only 5 custom ability, I could manage.

But now I'am counting around 20 or even more. So I needed something clean in the toolset, and I got it. The TLK need to be in NWN2 main directory.
