Whenever I try to download the game the download gets to around 22.5% downloaded then the download freezes, and then a screen pops up telling me that the download failed   Help?

Since you haven't even supplied where you are attempting to download from, there is absolutely no way for anyone here to help you. I would suggest contacting the support for the site you are downloading from.
