She was platoon guide, probably the unit's senior NCO. I think she was in the same situation that Sole Survivor Shepard was in. Everybody else just happened to get shot before her. And once she was surrounded, alone, and had no chance of success, she chose to withdraw rather than die for no reason.

Oh okay. I wasn't sure if she had actually been in command of anyone when they were attacked. Personally I don't believe it's her fault that her squad died.

I just hope both Ash and Miranda (whomever you choose to be in relation with) can be squadmate so you can have them in your squad with unique dialog from the relationship. And a really well put together and long relationship story arc with great ending.

Well, Ashley is pretty much your average woman.
Miranda is a fantasy.
That´s why it´s assumed that she´s TECHNICALLY better than Ashley.
But she has a believable personality and issues.
She´s not a cold-hearted ice queen. Her personality is believable.
She has variety to her, but not in a simple two-sided-coin-way.
She´s both a fantasy and an individual in one package.
That´s why she IS BETTER, than Ashley.
...
But that´s just my opinion, no point spreading it around.
