Only nerds would choose the old Ash over Miranda's huge something else with an a. If you are seriously paying attention to someones personality as attraction in a video game that's not good lol.

you are a credit to miranda fans everywhere.

lmaaooo...Ash just seemed bitter at Horizon and for that alone, I can't get wit her, I dont care how they re-did her. To be honest, why did the devs give Ashley a make-over? I hope it's not because they're keeping Miranda off the squad and saying sorry to Ash fans.....

we dont need an apology from bioware the fact that shes in ME3 is enough for us.

Honestly though... I think you'd change your mind had you seen and experienced Ash first hand in ME1. (you said you only have ME2 cause you're on PS3, right?)

we dont need no stinkin' badges either.....I wonder how the Ash joining Shep's squad will work out, since she was so vehement about her "I'm with the Alliance, it's in my blood" talk......

Yea, i'm a PS3 user. So I have no connection to her and I just see the photos of her and she looks like a dude.

because shepard wont be apart of cerberus in ME3 most likely, and who says ash wont leave your squad the minute you start going against the alliance/council.

considering her jawline comes from an actual person, yea, I guess so. Seriously tho, when I met Ash at Horizon, I thought to myself "man, he could have romanced this chick, she looks like a grandma with saggy armor ******".

Has a squadmate ever left the crew mid-game tho?

People, people come on lets not fight. Can't we have a civilized descusion/debate without it turing into this? I know where both sides are coming from.

Mirana fans: You have the better of the two characters by a mile and you want them to know that. She was more than one of the two generic human characters in the game.
Ash fans: You're grumpy because you know Ash was a lame character that's why she's 'Mirandized' in ME3 to make her better.

I thnk we can build on these two points and have a much more polite conversation I believe. LOL

My only issue with her is Shep tells her "it's nice to see you smile" and the next thing I kno she's feeling me up. I wish Bioware would design these romances as potential romances where there's a possibility you dont strike the right cords with a squadmate. Or even during missions, if you make certain decisions, they aren't as receptive to your advances (not just based on a simple loyal/not loyal).

why would we be grumpy? our favorite charecter is IN ME3 as a confimed squadmate.......you get lame reassurances at best that shes gonna have a good role....sounds very familar to me where have i heard that before?

Soldier.

I'd go for Miranda, I mean, I've chosen Kaidan every time in Mass Effect and that's regardless of whether he was to be romanced or not.

You're grumpy because Ash isn't in ME3 Miranda 2.0 is in ME3 and she's calling herself Ash.

Look at her body model from Me1,2 and now ME3 you can clearly see that her entire body was changed. Even if Miranda is never seen in the game at all she's still the better of the two characters, while Ash is literally interchangable. You were given two bland humans so you could pick which bland human died and which lived.

yeaa because miranda is sooo orginal and awsome with her ovesized femmale body parts, striper outfit, who also has self confidence issues and daddy issues because he never gave her enough hugs.

and im also not grumpy about her new look at all i liked the first one and i like the new one,in fact ash works it better than miranda dose.

 ovesized femmale body parts,

They are above average, yes. That sets her apart from most women. However, they are not too big for her figure.

striper outfit,

A catsuit is not a stripper outfit.

who also has self confidence issues and daddy issues because he never gave her enough hugs.

Technically, she has existencial issues. And you are oversimplifying what happened in her childhood.

Could we all just drop the character bashing? They are both interesting characters, some just prefer one's personality over the other.

Miranda is a very deep character. She like Grunt was made to be some freak's legacy but ends up saving her sister from being that person's pawn, then she sets out on her own cutting emotional ties with everyone because if she spends time getting emotional than she becomes affraid that whoever she cares about is going to either die or betray her. That's why she's a great LI because you can see those layers being taken away bit by bit.

When I think of these two characters I always think about one moment that defines who they are to me.

Ash's moment is Horizon when she looks the person who saved the galaxy and now her twice and calls him a traitor. She didn't even try to listen to what Shepard was saying all she did was get mad and walks away to leave Shepard to save the galaxy yet again.
Miranda's moment is the Collector Base when TIM tells Miranda to stop Shepard from destroying the base and she says no. She says no because she trusts Shepard is doing the right thing. She quits the only group that ever supported her and through her hat in with him because that's who her character really is.
