I just got done chatting with an EA tech support guy about the audio problems that ME2 has been having. If we really want this problem fixed then we need to bug them until they fix it.

Go here http://support.ea.com/ and when you fill out all of the necessary info (go to "contact us" and type in the info "mass effect 2", "Sony PS3", "Technical support" and "Audio failure") select to either speak to tech support via phone or via chatroom. I figure if we get enough people to do this EA may finally decide to fix this issue.

Thanks to Bogsnot1 for letting me know that Bioware can't fix this problem and that only EA could.

Is this a joke? What sort of idiot made that support site. Half an hour trying to send the damn message. What the frak do they need my computer details for, when the problem is with a ps3 game?!?
Just to make it hard for someone to send a message.

That was my discussion with an EA support admin. So all you saying bug EA to fx the audio problems need to know that Bioware first has to acknowledge the problem and then fix it!

Even EA_AgentX totally ignored the content of your post except to edit it.

As I said it's pointless as nobody takes one slight bit of notice.
Oh well. . .

You had a really annoying time with that EA rep from the looks of it. Mine went a bit smoother. Check this out
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, my name is Karl. How may I help you?
Me: hey my name is ____
Me: have you heard about the audio problems that ps3 mass effect 2 users have been having?
Me: the game has been having these issues since it was released in january but to this day no one has officially said if there as a fix in place
Me: i was wondering if this problem was at the very least something that tech support was aware of
Karl: I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced.
Karl: Please specify the exact problem you are facing and I'll forward it to our senior department for further investigation.
Me: ok i'll be more specific
Karl: sure,
Me: during some cinematics the audio lags behinds the visuals by 3-5 seconds. like someone will hit a wall and you will hear the crash seconds later. also sometimes a character will abruptly stop talking near the end of a sentence. this last issue has only started after the latest patch (1.03)
Me: but the lagging audio is something that most users have been reporting since the release in january
Me: this link to the bioware forums shows several threads dedicated to this problem http://social.biowar...egory/292/index
Karl: ____, I'm forwarding these details to our development team and they'll investigate further in this. In the meanwhile, I would request you to please post your comments in forums and our moderators will get back to you with the proper update on it.
Me: I will. Thanks for your help and time.
Karl: Thanks for showing your patience and understanding.

I think I'll have to modify what I said before. I think if we want this fixed we need to bug both EA and Bioware as much as we can.

You do realise that the EA tech support people are just paid lackeys that sit in a call centre type office and deal with tech support right? They have nothing to do with bugfixes and patches. Harassing them won't help anything at all except annoy some poor soul who just wants to do his 9-5 and go home to Sally and the kids and have steak.

So what? People are not expected to do what they are paid to do nowdays? It is their job! I am not harassing them, I am reporting a problem, God forbid they receive a request for help for one of their products. All they do is type infront of a computer, it's not like  they are slaves in a cole mine lol!
Anyway I really don't think that EA will fix this problem, as before Bioware has to acknowledge the problem, make a patch and send it to SONY for approval. That is how it has happened up until now with the previous patches.

We should link them the messages where this happens. They'll see how much their loop is pathetic.

lol Blackguard your conversation reminded me of having a conversation with Cleverbot, that website where you can chat with a computer and it tries to come up with realistic responses. xD

Wow I was just speaking with someone on the EA support website through chat. After I told them my problem very kindly, they just closed the window and I was number 34 in the queue...I'm so pissed right now. EA sucks balls.
