Dear fellow gamers hello,

I recently upgraded my MacBook from the MacBook Pro 13" to the new 15" with an SSD ect. It is a realy powerhouse!
As I have done with previous macs, I copied a Time Machine copy of my 13" to a disk and then copied that image on to the 15". Everything works like a charm as always... well everything exept Dragon Age.

Each time I loaded the game everything went fine. I played, I saved  and had great fun, but when the time came to exit the game, I got a blue screen and the system froze. I had to force close the MBP. I thought that it must be due to temperature reasons, so the next time I played with the A/C on keeping the room cool. Nothing, the same thing happened. As soon as I tried to exit the game, I got the blue screen. I even invested in a heat sink for my MacBook Pro, to make sure this was not happening due to high temperatures. Nothing. Still the blue screen.

A friend suggested I uninstall the game and re-install it. Maybe the game was setup for my previous MacBook and there were conficliing issues now. So, I removed the files, re-installed the game and got a new error this time.

Now, instead of a Blue screen, I get the Dragon Age start screen, stuck there frozen, you know the one, that one with the sword. I can't do anything when it is like this so the only thing left is to deactivate my MacBook Pro the hard way.

Does anyone know why this happens? Has anybody had this happen to them and do you know of a way to help me out here? I hate force closing the MBP each time I play Dragon Age.

Thanks!

I hate to say that, but it's always a good idea to do a clean install of the OS on a new machine, and then let the OS copy from your old computer what it needs. Same thing with DA:O. I don't believe Time Machine is meant to be used that way on different machines.
