I don't understand why people think this is such a good forum. It's actually a pretty scary one. However, I go to this site because their are worst forums and in fanbases in particular. That, and the Off-topic Sub-forum here is more friendly than the one back at the TOR forum.

Yeah, this forum is entertaining but it's kind of scary at the same time - or at least the relationship threads are. Even RPG Codex people are creeped out by this place.

A few months back, i would have agreed.
Now, after experiencing a few other forums, i have to say this one is very unimpressive. The forums themselves are mediocre, and the community is so infested with trolls and people so stupid they are just as bad.
That doesn't mean everyone here is problematic. There are a lot of good people still on this site. It's just that the idiots and trolls are so much louder, making you sane folks hard to hear.

i enjoy this forum because of all the different opinions the members have. for the most part they support it very well, and usually get my thinking on my own opinions. i am also a member of xboxa.com, a site which i love and spend a lot of time on. i found myself spending extensive time feeding thru mass effect threads, so i decided to join up with bioware lol.
best of all, the members provide constructive criticism. nothing ruins the forum experience more than asking for help, and getting nothing but flames and insults in return. i have had some great help and insight from this website, and appreciate it.
i joined strictly for the mass effect series, but quickly i am starting to enjoy bioware in general. hopefully they will continue to make me proud

Well, I like it mopst of the time. The regular drama gets annoying and makes this place look like a soap opera, really, sometimes there's so much drama here, as if anyone gives a sh*t anyway. As for everything else - it's all good. The blog section was destroyed by spammers, off-topic full of trolls. But it's fine for me.

This. I come here to read news and spend some boredom time. I was on another forum for 3 years and I must say that BSN is definitely not the best. The game-discussion areas are just plain dumb most of the time with the amount of fighting and mockery and off-topic tends to be over-trolled to make me not care enough. Still, there are some topics here and there which are worth spending some spare time on.
If there's something that REALLY needs some work done here then it must be moderating. Sorry to say so, but it's true.

I feel personally that the BSN provides more stimulating discussion than other gaming forums on the net - be it hostile or not. That's enough for me.

There are occasional good discussions, everybody hates each other with a passion bordering psychopathy, there is a lot of weirdness, the trolls are sometimes amusing, and the forum is well designed with the exception of that annoying "new updates bug." So I fit in fine, not the best forums I've been on but far from the worse.
