I'll be trying to keep this thread free of commentary, and just maintain the list of links for folks. If you want to add links to tutorials you find useful, please feel free to.

Languard, st4rdog - thank you both for your outstanding contributions.

I'd also put http://social.biowar....php/3D_control on there so we don't have to keep explaining the level editor cam controls.

I'd also add -

So far I've been using the offical python.org python 2.5 32bit package from http://www.python.or...ython-2.5.4.msi and the matching win32 libraries from

http://sourceforge.n....5.exe/download all installed to default location on Win 7 64bit.

So far this has worked well.

You probably want to uninstall other python versions before you give it a try.

for win 7 64bit users. That way people don't have to search for those files online...?

Here is my Project: social.bioware.com/project/923/

It is a extensive Guide to help players that are new to mods and modding.
It should cover the basic questions of how to get a Mod to work with your Vanilla Dragon Age game,
and it covers also updating and uninstalling Mods (with .dazip-files and without them)
and explains what Force Loading does.
Its quite basic information, but everyone has to start somewhere, thats what this guide is for.

The full Guide is located here: www.dragonagenexus.com/articles/article.php

I just updated to the version 1.5
V1.5 Updated 28-11-09: spelling & formatting, content overview
added, Uninstallation/Updates of files that use the Override Folder
rewritten, link to German version added (in the works)

I hope this will help anyone who has trouble getting a mod to work [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/happy.png[/smilie]

Modders are welcome to link to this guide too!

Thank you for your time and reading.

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you can help me. I want to know how to make entities I create have drops, and make them either dynamic or static. Attacking or non-attacking. Thanks for the tutorial links by the way.

I subscribed to fileplanet to download the SilentCid video tutorials, I downloaded the 2 different download managers and installed them.
Nothing I do on my end results in any file being downloaded... so it's a waste of money for me to even have subscribed.. cancelling the subscription now after i complete this post.
Is their anyway these videos can be uploaded somewhere like Rapidshare?.. Atleast if the files were there then I know for sure I could download them, with or without a subscription.
BTW, the first file I tried to download is from this link:

Is there a turorial on how to create your own follower and how to take a current character in the game and make him into a follower? there is so much information out there, but is so confusing. I want to make a character that is my mage's friend in the circle tower. Then recruit her as a follower after the broken tower quest is finished. I don't like Wynne, so I want another option. And I want to make Cullen a follower. Is there step by step instructions some where that tells me "this is how to make a follower for beginers"? There is a noob to pro on the wiki site but it is not finished. What is the next step after creating the character?

I would appreciate any help. I have been reading and  watching tutorials and playing with the toolset for 6 weeks and still don't have a follower.

I don't know anything about what you're asking, but is this the tutorial you are refering to (it seems complete, don't know if it's easy to follow):

There is a tutorial that says Noob to Pro, and it has only 2 of the 6 sections completed that it says it will cover. But I have been following the follower turorial. I am stuck on the part where it wants me to add some lines to my modules event script. So, I am reseaching scripts now. I dont know if the tutorial is refering to the script that I used when I first made the module or a script some where within the module's script folders. I understand that it is for replacing the current character stage with my own stage that will include the 2 new followers. I am making progress on my project, but it is very slow. Thanks for your reply.
I realize that I was asking for a lot in my post. You could probably hear my frustration in it.:P Thanks again.
