Just wondering who is confirmed to be a squadmate in ME3? I must admit I havent been paying much attention so all I really know at this point is that Garrus and Liara are in and not much else.

We don't really know that much yet.

The squad won't work in exactly the same way as ME/ME2, so some 'squad mates' may join Shepard for a mission (or more?) based on things we don't really know about yet.

Confirmed so far are the Virmire survivor (Ashley/Kaidan), Liara, James Vega (a new Alliance soldier) and Garrus and Tali in some form. It's unclear what would happen if they'd died in ME2. They may be non-permanent squadmates, or some other type that Bioware haven't talked about.

I will only allow Anderson on my squad if he punches Udina in the face again.

Virmire survivor is a given. They are also supposedly Spectres now. So that makes the meeting even more interesting. James Vega and Liara as well. I hope Garrus and Tali stay as permanents, but no one is really sure.

Yes I eagerly await a conformation (please) that both garrus and tali will be full squadies! I cant really see either of them leaving Shep for any reason as they have been with him/her since the beginning!

All i can think when i see that lineup is "why the hell did i save Kaiden?" Now i have to listen to him drone on for another whole game. Ashley is a **** alien hating hypocrite but at least she doesn't talk too much.

The main thing i don't get is they canned most of the first games cast so they could add a bunch of new characters for the second game and now they are canning those new characters to bring back the original cast plus some new guy in place of Wrex who they can't bring back since it would make no sense.

You do know you can easily get rid of Tali and Garrus during the Suicide Mission? You don't even have to recruit Garrus in ME1 and Tali in ME2 so actually, if you despise them completly you can easily make them appear only in one game.

Anderson is only your squad mate on your trek to the Normandy. He stays behind to rally Earth's defenses.

All of the ME/ME2 squadmates will be there in some respect. 

Garrus and Tali won't be permanent squadmates (without alternatives), they can't be - not if they can be dead. They'll likely appear for one mission, perhaps more, or maybe there's a choice involved to bring them along quasi-permanently if they're alive. 

Basically - ME3's squad system is fairly complicated and comple, and nobody knows much about how it works yet. Stay tuned.

I just hate the Turian on it! Everyone else is at least willing to hear me out and give me the benefit of the doubt this guy is so thick skulled I could bring a reaper into the chamber with me and he'd say I convinced my crew to play coordinated dress up!
