Problem here is that it sounds like you all are saying there's something wrong with a woman dressing up a bit.... you think they should be in "work mode" all day every day? It just doesn't work that way.

I think they should be in work mode when they are in fact at work, yes.

Fair enough... but in this case none of them were at work.. they were at a hearing... none of them were wearing armor.  Why Ashley is the only person supposed to be wearing armor there makes no sense to me.

I'm not complaining about the trial honey,  I'm talking about the image that bioware released that shows Kaidan and Vega in full blow armor and Ashley in a somewhat thick shirt.  Unless of course, for some reason everyone but Ashley somehow manage to find their armor after the trial.

\\  Sure,  I could see that from Tali…  she’s a bit of a door mat but not Ashley.

Really? Tali is amongst the most armored in the game mate, and she wouldn't stop being armored just because someone says so.

Suddenly I feel less sure about you championing Ashley to wear armor.

Risking death for sex kind of says doormat to me.

Has anyone even considered that maybe the armor designs for the the other 3 were done but the design team had only settled on a casual outfit for Ashley. Until it is confirmed one way or another that people have Casual and combat outfits I would cool the attitude. Just continue to ask for confirmation about the battle attire and continue to ask for pictures of her armor.

Until that point please stop flinging fire at one another. I mean we are supposed to be a community, not a group of people who constantly yell at one another. Although sad to say that seems to be mostly what this board is made up of.

That'd also be a strong arguement if it weren't confirmed that Ashley would have armor.  And I agree with you that I'd like to see what she looks like with the armor on... but I thought it was good to see that she's out of the Alliance blues.

Or at least be nice and give male and female Shepard some form fitting clothes to wear in combat. I wanna flip around the battlefield in jeans and a t-shirt.

Male Shepard should get a kilt.

Hellz yeah. :D

at least the soldier in the second pic has a Ballistic Vest, not to mention that, by your logic, no asari should wear heavy armor

Just stop. Armor style is probably based on training and preference. MOST asari don't wear heavy armor.

The commando's wear leather vacuum friendly outfits:

And tight hard suits:

But ultimately it comes down to personal choice.

Also, a Jacket, technically, does not have Kinetic barriers, not it is sealed, nor it has a medical VI and medigel. Nor it can be sealed.

And you know this how? I seem to remember Jacob and Samara having kinetic barriers in the game. In fact, I remember Shepard attending a party for Donovan Hock, and having a kinetic barrier, despite no armor at the time. It is likely that the barrier is maintained by a fairly slim generator that can be small enough to wear inside of normal clothes.

Also, his reasonong does not really make sense given the fact that we KNOW that ingame Ashley's shields WILL fail and she WILL be hit by bullets in spite of her "enhanced mobility while wearing the jacket"

I never said otherwise. I never EVER said that. I am saying that being able to be a smaller and faster target is a incredibly valuable trait on the battle field. It is the reason why throughout history, despite the popularity of guns and alienation from melee weapons, soldiers have worn less and less. I have history on my side.

And if her armor looked anything like this, instead of somewhat shiny cloth I'd be happy.

And you've heard from Casey directly that Ash will be getting armor for ME3.

Armor =/= metal bikini.
Armor =/= catsuit.
Armor =/= jacket.

Armor = ...ARMOR!

Hell, he didn't just say "armor". He said "full armor and helmet". :ph34r:

When I see it I will probably shut up. I'm just not sure what armor is anymore particularly on female characters.

Just had a thought I put out in another thread.

Is it possible that Ashley's outfit is a Spectre "dress uniform"? I mean, she is probably attending the trial in the beginning of the game and it would be appropriate to wear compared to full armor...

sorry.....I had to finish a download

ahem

anyways, Ashley specifically disses Commando leathers, just saying

Miranda having full kinetic Barriers and medigel injectors is just as ridiculous as her using breathers alone in vacuum or even better running around in HIGH HEELS. It was done for sake of gameplay and the rule of cool

again, once I actually see this armor of hers and I am told that it will be available at all times I'll be 100% happy (actually I'll settle for just the latter)

Bioware hasn't forgotten the meaning of "full armor" in a few months, and certainly not because they created one character (Miranda) who is underdressed.

I thought only Ashley's armor actually has a Spectre symbol on it? (I could be missing Kaidan's)

Miranda, Samara, Thane, Jack (nipplebelt) and Jacob are all guilty of being ridiculously underdressed

The symbol is on Kaidan's armor concept art. So it's probably somewhere on his shoulder that we can't see.

Its also on his chest but that is covered by a conveniently placed spot of light so it is hard to see.
