again I wonder

why would Casey be Sybilline in his statement? why not clear ALL doubt?

Because to clear all doubt in someone like yours mind he would have to write an essay on twitter explaining every intricate detail.

you are deliberately being obtuse.

a very simple "you will be able to equip Ashley with a proper full hardsuit and helmet in any and all combat scenarios minus a few situational exceptions"

would have sufficed

25 words, it does not seem too much does it?

As for Liara, they should do away with trying to justify the ME2 "armor headband." And aim to recolor her outfit so that it doesn't try to riduculously emphasize her femininity. We can appreciate her curves just fine with the way her white labcoat is done. Tasteful. This red-version is not.

Okay, how exactly does the color scheme of Liara's armor suddenly make it exploitive?

My take on these designs is simple: Make them consistent. If Ashley has this outfit for traipsing about the Normandy, then Kaidan should have a similar tunic/pants clothing option. If Kaidan has this medium armor option for combat, then Ashley should have a similar one. There's nothing wrong with these designs per se, it's only a problem that they seem to indicated a very gender-biased application. Show me that Ash will be armored the same way Kaidan is, and I'm happy. Show me that Kaidan has a dress uniform similar to Ashley's, and I'm happy. Normally I don't advocated treating Kaidan and Ashley as a single character, but when it comes to their wardrobe choices, they should be consistent. Heck, even Eclipse and Blue Suns merceneries know you don't send women and asari into battle wearing zippered tunics and leggings.

James Vega just needs to stop playing other video games, or at least ripoff Chris Redfield instead of a Gears of War reject. And Liara needs to work out her Justicar worship issues.

What I would like is the ability to custom color the squad mates costumes, the way you can custom color Shepard's armor in ME2.

+1

I really see no difference between the two of them. This is a return to the old ME1 style Colossus Armor, my personal favorite. While showing off her figure (vertical lines are sliming and all that jazz) it makes sense as to what Armor should look like in the ME Universe. Now If it does not have heels, that would make me even happier (Heels look like a pain to wear practically (guy here so I cannot answer that) and to imagine trying to sprint or roll while using them makes even my feet hurt)

He was respoding to the questions on twitter, not directly in response to this thread. So his tweet is a general response to all the ash questions.  "Also lots of questions about Ashley. We've only showed her in a jacket outfit & its CE variant. She will also have full armor and helmet." Sounds pretty specific to me, it's clear to me that she has another full outfit. The CE is only a re-color of her original one and all squaddies in ME2 had 2 if you remember. She needs a 2nd outfit whatever it is for those who don't get the CE.

why does everyone keep associating Liara's adornments to justicars? they could very well be religious or ceremonial

just because Templars wore red crosses on their garments that does not mean that hospitals bearing a red cross are affiliated with the templar order yanno?????

Cleavage is bad in war - it's usually a solid idea to have something between your chest and the bullets :)

nice troll attempt Apple.

Casey responded on Twitter that Ashley will be able to wear real armor with a toggleble helmet. Whether or not that is during every fight or just during scripted events is the only variable.

All I hear is whining.

Bioware will design whatever Bioware wants. Not to please a certain demographic, not because they're misogynistic turds (surprise! There are women in the gaming industry), not because of any obscure symbolism or to make a political point, but because it's their art. If they want Ashley in a catsuit, then they can and will do that, and I see no problems with that--especially since ashley's current designers are the same as her original designers. If you think you can complete the progression of a character better than the character's designer, please apply for a job at Bioware. Until then, they are not obligated to listen to anyone.

Except they actually do, because they want their fans to buy and enjoy their art. And even though these early designs ARE NOT FINAL, and Casey has said multiple times ASHLEY WILL GET FULL ARMOR AND A HELMET, that statement is apparently too "sybilline" for some people.

Stop acting entitled and stop complaining.

Okay I'm stopping now. I just think the fighting in the last thread and soon to be this one is just ridiculous.

Does somebody want to tell me what sybilline means? It sounds like a brand of cosmetics or something.

Actually the gist of my statement was that Miranda had something between her chest and the bullets(I meant breasts).  I've had my serious few moments of the day.
