I was one of many people experiencing tremendous problems with the Steam DA:O Ultimate DLC. After six hours of work, I finally managed to "fix" the issue by deleting all local content and downloading the DLC directly through DA:O's ingame menu. However, it does not allow you to download awakening through the client, at least not that I can see, but my saves currently require that I have Awakening installed (for some reason).

Does anyone know a way that I can download Awakening individually despite having gotten it as part of the Ultimate package? If I am able to do this, theoretically all of my issues should be fixed and I'll finally be able to play the game that I legally purchased.

Awakenings isn't technically DLC, it's an expansion, so there isn't an equivalent download. Others may have a more elegant solution (and you might want to check the Steam forums) but there are two possible solutions I can think of of the top of my head.

1- Fresh install and reinstall via Steam. If the content fails to authorize as before, clear all the local content except Awakenings. Re-download the DLC from the in-game menu as before. The game will check for authorization for everything when it installs the DLCs and since the authorization code is the same for Awakening, it may "trick" the authorization software into authorizing everything correctly.

2- Switch to the EA download version at least until the patch is out. The Steam version seems to have more problems than all the others put together.
