I pretty much done switching HR nwn to 3.5 rules , but I having trouble with ranger combat styles

I got the rapid shot at 2 , but there no many shots.  ( I do not want to use prc or nwnx stuff)
So the question is what a good archer feat to give the ranger at 6 and 11 level ( or new custom item that helps in archery) maybe point blank shot at 6?  Abilty to temp enchant his bow? Thanks for any thoughts

I suspect any ranger going the archer path will take point blank immediately. If you're not adding new custom feats, there aren't really that many archery ones in the game. I suppose you could give the ranger a weapon focus at 6th and a weapon specialization at 11th, allowing them to put that into whatever weapon they want - be that a bow if they're going archer, or some other weapon if they're going more of a melee build.

extremely good idea, thank you Karvon I surely do this too (also prefer 3.5, yet didnt made combat styles for ranger cos the same reason as OP)

Hmm that a good idea. I am making custom feats too, so anything that can be scripted I could do. I thought about giving the ability to add keen to the weapon as temp item property to thier bow to help the archer too. I already got all  nwn 3.0 feats, spells in a custom tlk and spell / feat 2da and have added some missing feats and updated others to 3.5 . I going to add alot more spells and feats from the basic 3.5 books. The reason for keen is alot people say archery is underpowered in NWN. Maybe 2 uses at 6 and 4 at 11. Just thought, I like your idea too. Thanks you guys, that give me something to think about.

ugh, Can I get a confirmation that it looks like ranger dual wield is hard coded to rangers. I have taken it away from them and they still seem to get same pluses on their character sheet and in combat. Now I think I give them two weapon fighting and amb. at two if they choice two weapon fighting, that way they can wear medium armor still.

yep, been there, done that. Ranger dual wield is hard coded for rangers. The improved 2 weapon fighting isn't, but the "Dual wield" feat IS.

Thanks usagreco66kg ugh they hardcoded a lot with the rangers, I can give them their animal companions at 4 but they cannot pick which one til six (so stuck with a badger til then). I cannot lower when they get spells either. ugg.

Yep, I had to opt for what DDO did with the Ranger... more or less gave them both styles. As there wasn't the 3rd feat for dual wielding (dual wield, improved 2 weapon, greater 2 weapon) I simply opted to give rangers rapid shot @ level 2 as a bonus. Lowered the HP gain, increased the skillpoints and saves all per 3.5, gave evasion and left out HiPS. Companion wasn't touchable (At least not without leto)
