GO TO LINK AT BOTTOM FOR REVIEW: MANDATORY!!!!

I was so happy when I got Dragon Age 2. Then after 4 hours of playing it, I got bored and played Mass Effect 2. A couple days later I started playing it again and beat it only because in my head I kept on telling myself it was a good game because origins was so good. Did any of you have my same experience?

This guy actually made me realize that I've been telling myself it was BETTER than Origins listen to this guuy's review I found today:

Nope... I finished it and my final statement is : It's good but not as Origins. the main flaw is about those stupid waves and the environments recycling, the rest was okay. I'm also one of those who liked to explore Kirkwall...

It's alright. Hawke's just too reactive. Almost no instances of being proactive. I don't mind the world going to hell in a handbasket around Hawke, as I love that concept.

Bioware just didn't pull off the execution of it very well.

Still, I enjoy the game.

I kept telling myself that it was good until I completed it. It was the only way I managed to get through it all. Afterwards, when the motivation to complete it had disappeared I didn't have to pretend anymore and I saw it for the donkey boner it really is.

I thought it was okay. Played it through but found my attention wandering towards the end. I know its been said a million times but after Origins it was a huge disappointment.

I played it thru and enjoyed it. In terms of actual gameplay enjoyed it more than origins, but enjoyed the origins story slightly more.

Nope, not a good game. Not a bad game. A game splendid in its mediocrity.

I wouldn´t mind recycled environments or sky-dropping enemy waves IF the game would have had more options to actually make choises which have effect on the storyline and the discussion possibility with companions would have been more like in DAO (deeper relations), I hate to wait for a possiblity to talk to my mates. If I want a video game I will go out and buy one, I´m not going to spend my money in a so called rpg which looks like one but imitates hack´n slash games.

I bought DA2 right out of the shelves when it came out but now I am inclined to wait to see what kind of reviews dlc and DA3 will get.

No.

I actually did enjoy it a lot.

If I don't like something I don't lie to myself, I just accept that I don't like it. I could've easily done that with DA2 but I had no need to.

I enjoyed Dragon Age II. In some ways I liked it better than Dragon Age: Origins.

I enjoyed the game. I'm sorry you did not. I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there who wish it was better, myself included, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.

You know that feeling when someone slap you in a face ? This is how i experience Dragon Age 2. It's like your favorite girlfriend turn into a **** and slap you in a face while you didn't do anything wrong.
I could not even tell myself that it was a good game because every minute it was screaming "BAAAAAAD".

- First second, story about hero who kill everything and stuff explode - when I see that it was just made up story i was thinking - gooood. I was worry about the game but now is OK. Then i started actual story with positive attitude.
- First minute... combat animation and graphic was screaming BAAAAAD!
- Next minutes - more exploding bodies... WTF ? It was not just in that initial story ? BAAAAAD!
- In next hours or something i just see everywhere exploding bodies and waves of monsters... it was screaming BAAAAAAD right into my face.
- And in next hours I learn ultimate truth. ALL quests are about going to place marked on the map, killing waves of ninjas and reciving reward. You just click on some folk to get money. You didn't even talk with them. Something like "you drop it"... I take every quest I could so I lost track who is who. I just click on them and get reward... And it was all the time.

It was imposible for me to see it as good game. So in my case - NO.

it was far from a good game, but it wasn't to the point of being so bad I couldn't play through easy enough one time. My other couple play throughs took me more convincing to get through them. I tried to give it a chance to be good and change my mind but its just not going to happen.

I did not think it was flawlessly perfect game like the hardcore fans do and I don't think it deserves the spite and vitriol from the haters (There are far worse games)

The way corners were cut in this game occasionally makes me believe the developers took the gamers for granted.

It was a good game but it could have been an excellent game had the development cycle been longer.

I had the opposite reaction, really. I was expecting to enjoy myself but spend the whole game mildly disinterested, like I was during DA:O; but I came away so wonderfully thrilled and entertained. Dragon Age 2 was a great experience for me.

I rather enjoyed it and I'm still enjoying playing it from time to time. I'm also of the opinion that games dont need to be perfect for them to be good and sometimes you just need to enjoy things for what they are.

Well I for one think DA2 is a great game, I'm like on my 7th or 8th game play and I can't get enough.  Mage combat, specially force I love.  I've done almost every romance friend n rivalled, well workin Sebs rival n I'm havin a blast.  The only thing I can't get into is rogue n bloodmage but that's my own reason's not because of the game.  I even had a gameplay where I sided with the Templars Image IPB never again lol.  To say this game sucks or whatnot, not even.  I LOVE DA2 n I'm proud to say so Image IPB

I played through it with a friend - and tried to persuade myself it was good every step of the way, but it was frankly arduous both to play it, and to maintain suspension-of-disfun.

I thought it was sub par and had been gutted/destroyed in a way that took trusting players of the franchise for granted - therefore, while it's horrid to see BioWare getting panned, I am in favour of people panning the game so the message gets through that people don't want any more sub par games.

No more of the same, please, if I want to pay somebody so I can do long chores I'll play Runescape or something.

During the game I tried to tell myself it was good and that it would turn out be a really good experience but the truth is in most cases if something isn't good then it probably won't end up being very good.

That said DA II wasn't terrible, it was pretty decent/okay/mediocre. There were a lot of up sides to it and I did enjoy it. I just think that for a Bioware game it wasn't very good and that they should do better in future games.

EDIT: I refuse to believe anyone who says the Witcher games are any better than Dragon Age II though (well actually The Witcher I and II are slightly better but I suppose it comes down to personal preference) The Witcher was just such a drag for me to play and I still haven't finished The Witcher II (but I am enjoying it and I did enjoy the Witcher just not as much as I did DA II)
