What does that mean?

I noticed there was a fix awhile back,  a DAUpdater_Diagnostic_beta or something that you could download from Bioware, but now that link is dead.

Any suggestions?  None of the myriad of FAQs/Help posts addresses what to do if the DAUpdater is not even showing up in your svcs.

These were the instructions listed in that post:

How to solve this issue:
I tracked the issue down and saw that I
couldn't initiate DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe and the service couldn't
start. I reckon this is an issue with windows 7, although I am not
sure.. To start the service manually all you have to do is
1. pressing ctrl+alt+delete and open Task Manager.
2. Go to services tab and look for DAUpdaterSvc
3. Rightclick on the name and press "Start Service"
4. Start Dragon Age and enjoy the downloadable content..

Problem I have is that DAUpdaterSVC is not listed in task manager as a service.

The link right below that one in the solutions round up contains step by step instructions for installing the service for Steam users and a variation for Origins users on a Windows 7 system. The directions should be basically the same for a Vista system.

Start the game. Log in and (hopefully) your content will authorize. Once it has authorized, you can play offline and not worry about it again.

As you haven't provided the necessary information, all I can to is point you back at the solutions round up.
