Especially if it's gonna be as long as ME2's intro.

I hated that intro after a couple of times, 'Why the hell can't I skip this'

It's a story driven game. Of course you should not be able to skip the intro. It would make no sense.
Wrong. ME2 was a character-driven story.

Then *you* could choose not to skip it. That's the beauty of an optional skip feature!

It was a story driven game too. It might not have had a better story than ME1, but it still had one. But if it will make you happy, let's just say that it was a 'character driven' story.

Why is is that everyone always uses the 'you don't have to use it' argument? It's a useless feature, for people with no patience. Bioware worked just as hard on the intro of the game as everything else. It's the introduction of the Collectors, Miranda and Jacob, the Illusive Man and the return of Tali. Why would you want to skip that?Ryzaki wrote...

But hey, if you don't have to use these features I say that Bioware add a feature to skip every single mission in the game. I'm getting tired of recruiting Garrus and Jack in every playthough. I mean, why would I want to play the Jack recruitment mission again and again, everytime I do a new playthough?

Because a scene that never changes regardless is the same as a scene where the player can make a difference eh?
Why is it so hard for you to acknowledge that some people don't want to sit through the same sequence just because they want to tweak their characters face?
It's not the same as ignoring freedom's progress completely or skipping the whole game.

i didn't mean freedoms progress, i meant everything before you wake up from being rebuiltThe PLC wrote...

Pretty much every software and hardware based media player dating back to reel-to-reel in the black and white era has had a "fast forward" option, which has been refined up to now as being able to skip entire scenes, as with a DVD for example.

If you seriously have the time to replay a 15 hour game 30 times, why can't you sit through the 30 minute intro? It's got nothing to do with the fact that you can't make a difference. You're just being impatient.Ryzaki wrote...

edit: sorry dujh, I didn't see your post. But if it's just the Normandy being blown up part, we're talking 10 minutes!

Especially if it's some intro there's little to no interaction in. When you've seen it, you've seen it.

Is there really someone arguing against this? Show me on the doll what the fast forward button did to you.

And that 10 minutes becomes a half hour if you tweak Shep's face three times.
