so i'm just starting my 30th odd playthrough of me2 and i hate having to sit through miri talking to tim and normandy being destroyed while rescueing joker, i mean i liked it the first 2-3 times after this many times i just hate it. please bioware make mass effect 3 able to skip the intro cinematic

One word:

Agreed!

Also I'd like to say that we should be able to skip the EA and BioWare Intros.

Make it so, BioWare -- you did it in ME -- you can do it again! I believe in you! We all believe in you! Don't let us down here!

Yes please after the 3rd time i just couldn't deal with the me2 intro anymore so had to go into the files & replace the intro movie.
A skipable intro would of saved me that hassel<_<

yea, i agree with all of this skippable intro stuff, but i think that for longer cutscenes they should put a safety on it like in halo: reach, when you had to push A and then Y to skip. i've accidentally skipped countless awesome cutscenes (namely the normandy-occuli fight at the start of the suicide mission) because i drop the controller or something. but for regular conversations, X to skip lines sounds good.

Or one of those intros where - when you press start - it asks if you want to skip.

But seriously, I've had an itching to replay ME2 and I've stopped myself because of that intro. Holy Hell its annoying.

So here I am, starting a new game+. I get all the way to the part where Shepard is being reconstructed...and my game freezes at the loading screen. There was no autosave, so I got to sit through the whole damn intro again.

In other words, I agree.

Make it compulsory on the first playthrough then all subsequent playthroughs have the power to skip

Yes/

I support this as well.

Also, it would be cool to add in pause capabilities during cutscenes. I can't even believe how many times I get interrupted by others and miss important stuff because I can't pause. :(

Now, this wouldn't just be standard.  This would actually be an innovation, however small.

I absolutely hate missing cutscenes (the first time), and it really irks me to get interrupted while trying to watch part of the story.  It would be great to be able to pause them and play.

How about killing two birds with one stone?

Sometimes while playing the game I need to leave the room for one reason or another. So let me pause the game mid-cutscene, and then while paused let their be an option to skip the scene with a conscience prompt.

This has been done in a multitude of games for a long time now. It allows you to pause scenes for whatever reason you need, (without hitting the xbox button) it prevents accidental skipping for those who like to keep the controller at hand during said scenes, and it is all entirely optional!

Yay for adding modern conveniences that has been around in gaming for almost a decade now!

THIS...THIS...THIS!!!!!....The skull loading screen...I sit in agony waiting for this loading screen moment....waiting to see if I have just spent the last 10 minutes waiting for the intro babble to stop for nought....it's a paritcular nightmare when I am trying to tweak my Shep.

Skippable intro PLEASE BW!

All the lovely nitpicking aside, I'd prefer the ability to skip the cutscenes, or speed through the dialogue. Or something. I do it during the game, because at this point I can tell you what the NPCs are going to say, verbatim, and I'd like that kind of feature at the begining as well.

Surely a better idea would be to just put the character creator right at the start.
Why should the intro be more disposable than any other mission?

Y'know, the first time I played ME2 I thought the intro was absolutely amazing, maybe the BEST intro of any game I've ever played. I still think that, but I did get irritated with it every time after the first.

So please, don't shy away from awesome intros, but I'm 100% behind making it skippable. At least put the option in there.

Nobody was arguing the opposite. This is about convenience. Becomes a waste of time, redundant.

If only. You gotta pick lines for conversations and walk Shepard to the cockpit. So nah, you can't just leave the room.

It is one of the reasons I haven't played ME2 as much as DA:O. Can't skip that intro. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a cutscene and I could go grab drinks/food or something, but no you got to move around and etc.

Agreed. And for those that don´t like watching the intro again and again in ME2, just rename/move out the intro videos! Easy as that ^^

Another vote for the pogo stick  Posted Image ,  I'm tired of the 25th + intro for ME2...  I usually cut off the sound, glance through a book, look up now and then to click, click ...

I started a similar thread some time ago. People just abused it for flaming and it got locked. Is this topic so unimportant for people?
