I liked him a bit better in Arrival less smack he got to the point.
In 2 he said some disturbing things but he says them every second that you're with him. More silence for this guy is golden.

Now that I have that out of the way, toning down his battle cries a bit would be excellent. His comments on the other characters and species at the end were chilling, and the occasional comments when your allies fell or you killed an enemy were awesome. He just needs to be more selective in his quotes and timing.

Well I think Harbinger can become even more threatening then Sovereign, there were improvements in Arrival.

Is it necessary to give him a nickname? Especially one as silly as "harbi"? He is kind of the leader of sentient beings. And they kinda our the biggest threat to the galaxy right now.

How about Mister H? You have to speak it with a thick Easter Seaboard accent while wearing clown make up though.

I don't think that's his true name though, Soverign had some sort of alien name so I assume Harbinger would as well. It's probably just a nick name some of his buddies gave him when they were pounding down prothean smoothies.

Harbinger is badass! He deserves to be shown in ME3.
I have a feeling you'll be eating those words after you're halfway through ME3. But it's true. Harbinger is cool. Hope he becomes a real nemesis in ME3 (as long as he stays away from my Liara) instead of the boogyman with all his bravado talk they made him out to be in ME2.

Gives a whole new meaning to "Assuming Control" and other sentences with that connotation.
Playing in the background (or the chance he serenades someone or "'Reaping' what he sows" with that person)

harbinger didnt have that. He was always assuming things.
Reapers should be like that andraste dragon in dragon age:origins in terms of presence. when u blew that horn, how it echoed in on the walls, the silence then the roar followed by the beating of wings, you KNOW sh** just hit the fan.

IMO, if they try to turn it around and make him like Sovereign now, it'll look contrived. Break it, buy it.

They could have written him better, but the other enemy. types were just as corny if you think about it. Hell, your squadmates were quite corny as well. Sovereign was great with dialogue, but did we fight him? We did not. Harbinger was corny in ME2 (better in LotSB); however, if you have to fight the guy for an hour, no need to listen to a two-hour thesis before hand.
A philosophical adventure is fine, but I don't want an adventure regarding philosophy.

^ What is with the malignant attitude towards contrivance? In case no one's noticed, nothing is not contrived story-telling wise. Folks throw that word around way too much. It's lost it's meaning. It's a "buzz-word" and we just can't stand those.

Not a hard concept to grasp.
In ME2, he is annoying and unintimidating.
In ME3, his character randomly does a 180 to something like Sovereign because fans complain he's annoying.
Such a change = contrivance.
