Harbinger and his trash talking are awesome. He made the Collector battles more entertaining for me.

I hope I don't have to kill him in ME3 and I can make him into my Shepard's SR-3.

I preferred the Reapers when they were beautiful but silent. Now it's like there's this thing I don't wanna talk to. Like villain cancer. >.>

LOL.  One of my favorite Joker quotes from ME2.  :o

^ What is with the malignant attitude towards contrivance? In case no one's noticed, nothing is not contrived story-telling wise. Folks throw that word around way too much. It's lost it's meaning. It's a "buzz-word" and we just can't stand those.

They could have written him better, but the other enemy. types were just as corny if you think about it. Hell, your squadmates were quite corny as well. Sovereign was great with dialogue, but did we fight him? We did not. Harbinger was corny in ME2 (better in LotSB); however, if you have to fight the guy for an hour, no need to listen to a two-hour thesis before hand.

A philosophical adventure is fine, but I don't want an adventure regarding philosophy.

Not a hard concept to grasp.

In ME2, he is annoying and unintimidating.
In ME3, his character randomly does a 180 to something like Sovereign because fans complain he's annoying.

Such a change = contrivance.

So why ***** then? I agree they shouldn't change things for the sake of changing them, but given your logic, ME2 never should've came to be let alone 3 as changes were made because they didn't ignore the fanbase who wanted those changes. Again, is there anything that is NOT a contrivance by your logic?

Fighting Cerberus. How is that contrived since they've been villifed since the first game? If anything, people are just pissed because it's another obstacle to leap over before even saying "hello" to the Reapers.

Sure I know 99% of the population on board hates this guy

What board on you on? Harby is one of the most popular characters ever! At least for anyone who's enjoyed the great works of MandaloreMovies! My favorite:
