I think people really need to stop taking these things so seriously. And when I say things I'm not just talking about movie adaptations, I'm talking about movies, games, fiction books, music, ect in general. People become to emotionally invested in these things and start to become too attached to certain things, even within the things they are fans of. This just causes problems, people get fights with those that have different opinions then them, people start to close their minds out to other things they could like, and taking this stuff so seriously just sucks the fun out of enjoying them.

In the case of movie adaptations, forget about what it based on, forget about the original story, just open you mind and watch the movie, judge the movie based on the story it has created, judge the characters based on how the story has set them up to be. Just judge the movie for the movie and not what it originates from.

FIX THE ENDING I know you people at bioware wanted the theme of the last game to be about sacrifice but at what point do WE sacrifice to much for all of us who bought ALL the games ALL the DLC's stayed loyal fans through the years fought so hard united the galaxy behind us just so we could see the happy ending we worked so hard for, all I wanted was to see the reapers destroyed see a conclusion for my squadmates and maybe a wedding for my LI maybe some kids....at what point do WE sacrifice to much

If the movie does not follow the game story then I ain't watching it. Also, please for the love of Chris lol or which ever deity you worship or don't worship, make sure that the story stays true to the ME universe! Don't let Hollywood and their hungry wallets destroy your game that you have worked so hard to craft! All Hollywood wants is to spend as little money as possible producing an adaptation and milk the fans for all they have.

Learn from past mistakes with other game to movie adaptations.

please somebody tell me what's up with the Mass effect movie
in my opinion Legendary first needs to figure out what it's going to be based on and not switch every
1 or 2 months first it was based on the games then it was not then it would be the First contact war
then it would not be based on the ME games then it would be the first game and noe it's not going to be based on ME again
make up your friggin minds please

i wasn't convinced that it would be worth wile from the first announcement
and all this switching ideas hasn't done it any good in my opinion it was going to be HUGE Fail from the start
and the silence about the movie can't be a good thing if you ask me
and every time i hear something about it it is getting worse
but somehow i am not surprised since 90% of the time if Hollywood adapts a game to movie it has been a BIG FAIL and sadly the ME movie seams to heading that way at FTL speed :(

All other video game movies have failed for not sticking with the story. Successful novels adapted for film only make changes for the purposes of time constraints. The ME movie needs to follow this formula, otherwise they have already set themselves up for fail. Imagine, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or Game of Thrones being totally rewritten for a movie/show. Everyone would hate them. Stick to source material as it was already successful!

An ME movie adaptation!? Hell yeah! Now I can go watch a buggy, glitchy, laggy movie that causes the projectors to freeze.

Will the movie come with an ENDING or will it be solved separately at the entrance?

No offense Chris Priestly or anyone to at bioware but.......... I feel you are making a foolish decision because Mass effect is a game about choices... TBH The only other game I can think of from the top of my head is the game called Fable,

The kind of game like ME will not sell. Infact not that many videogame movies sell really well for example Mortal combat, and Doom.

I know that people might bring the Halo movie into the fray but... Halo is a different case because it is a fantasy first person shooter and first person shooter games are more likely to sell than a choice game like ME.

In the end, I am going to call it like it is the movie in which you are making bioware and God knows best will be prolly one of the most disappointing movies of the year and I wouldn't pay the outrageous movie theater price of what 13-15 bucks just to watch another horrible video game movie

If the game ending isn't fixed then that's a huge chunk of the movie audience gone before it even hits the theaters.

New Mass Effect 3 endings may not involve Commander Shepard

http://www.digitaltr...mmander-sheprd/

"That Hale isn’t involved in creating new content for BioWare implies that any new content that debuts in April was planned as part of Mass Effect 3 all along. After all, the game does say that players can continue Shepard’s adventure in downloadable content after the end credits."

This quote pretty much says any fix to ending was there all along.

No way will I try the Mass effect movie now, the ending will probably suck. And after the above article I do not feel Bioware can be trusted anymore.

I'm more inclined to think that if there is a "fix" to the ending, it won't have much, or even at all spoken dialogue, and/or it will take place after the current climax, which would obviously negate Shepard's role in the proceedings.

You know, I would believe it if Bioware/EA wasn't scurrying around like a chicken with its head cut off as soon as the endings happened....

Penny Arcade Lets EA's Charity Slide But Not Retake Mass Effect 3

http://www.cinemable...ct-3-41139.html

The real question here is: why was it okay for EA to use Child's Play to promote DLC in Battlefield Heroes but it wasn't okay for gamers to use a gaming-based charity to bring awareness to a situation within the gaming industry?

This industry is so corrupt, critics and charity bend to EA.

Some news, finally? Maybe we'll finally find out if it's going to be Shepard-centric or not. Maybe.

It's basically granted it's gonna depict First Contact War.

It's been confirmed that it's going to be an adaptation of Mass Effect 1. See Mass Effect movie article on Wikia.

I think Mass effect 1 is a great way to start. I for one hope they go down the high end animation route just like the mass effect 3 trailer. Not only did it look amazingly real but it allows the characters to look correct with the right acting voices. The result? Not so many peeved mass effect fans who dislike how the characters look in a real film environment. And it also perhaps gives you room to do a femshep and broshep alternate film. If it's planned it could work. They did it in the trailer and it looked amazing.

There has been no official confirmation of anything, only vague musings and speculations. No kind of production has been started, and there's no sign of anything starting any time in the near future.

If Bioware has any sense they keep from doing remakes of already existing stories in movie format, considering that the Mass Effect universe deserves to keep expanding into new territories, not treading the same ground forever, but we'll have to see about that.

Bummer. First Contact War would have been so much cooler, and it wouldn't have pissed off all the FemShep fans. :(

Plus I'd love to follow the adventures of a young Anderson.

I personally think that seeing Mass Effect 1 (the best story of the series) with movie-quality special effects would be super exciting.

Because seeing world's most boring protagonist perform actions that you would never do in-game with a plot that you already know backwards and forwards would be so exiting. Seriously, there's nothing that a movie remake could add to the Mass Effect story. The only way the movie could succeed would be by telling us something completely different, a story that is new to us all. I seriously hope that Bioware and whoever eventually (maybe) creates the movie won't be so cowardly that they just do everything they've already done again for quick cash. There's so much more promise in the Mass Effect universe.
