I'm trying to transfer over my save data to my most recent Xbox. I currently have 2 Xbox's running (one just for Mass Effect 2) I understand that save files can not be copied however many people have claimed to have success transferring save files by "moving" them onto a usb drive.

My issue is that when I go into my Mass Effect 2 save files there is only one small file that dates back to my very first play. I can go back into my Mass Effect 1 saves and see every file as well as its size and date added leading up to the games completion.  Why can I only see one save file for ME2?  This file is clearly too small to posess all of my character data. There should be dozens of saves listed in the save file.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

The save system is different in ME2. Each character will have a save file. When you load that career (as the game calls it) you then get the individual saves you mention. (Just think of it as being a more efficient system as it were).

How many save files you will have will depend on the number of careers you have in the game. Note that a new game plus is seen as another career.

Due to ME2's copyright protection you cannot copy saves (as you mentioned) but you can move/transfer them to another drive. If you have a transfer cable it might make things easier, though transferring to USB will just mean an extra step; it shouldn't prevent you from moving the save to the new 360.
