Looks like another case of Playercharacteritis to me, and it looks terminal. Yeah yeah, Shepard is Teh Awesome. Everyone should bow down before Shepard, and praise Him.

Never mind that Shepard is actually a complete ******. Shepard is constantly being fooled,
manipulated, and lied to. Mainly by the Illusive Man. But yeah, you're the one who's really calling the shots Shepard. Sure you are.

Wow... Do you know who you sound like right now? Lex Luthor talking about Superman.DeLann talking about the Alliance.Or as they say in the Hip-Hop Community, "A Hater" Geez... Good grief woman.

- "Shepard is constantly being fooled" Eh?! The only times I recall Shepard Commander being fooled in Mass Effect 2.Is on the Collector star-ship and during the Arrival DLC.

- "manipulated" In what way did anyone get Shepard to do anything that he didn't want to do.That served thier interest, more so than his? That's how I define the word 'manipulation' anyway.

- "lied to" Lied to -- really?  Since when has anyone ever been held responsible for whether another person is being truthful with them or not? I mean -- come on now Sian.Honestly... (No pun intended) "Hey Shepard.People lie to you alot.You suck... WTF

I don't have 'Playercharacteritis' I just happen to think that the way that  Ashley & Anderson spoke to John Shepard of all people.Is like someone 'talking down' to Tiger Woods about Golf...

Some things in life are binary.One of these things may be this.You either aspire to greatness or despise those who achieve it.And I have to say Siansonea II. The vitriolic manner in which you speak of Commander Shepard. Leads me to supsect that you are in the latter group..

I know what "vitriol" is. I also know what "vituperation" is. How about I define "condescending" for you? Or "pretentious"? Perhaps "sesquipedalian"? Nah, I'd rather illustrate my original point, in my inimitable style.

Jacob: "Yeah. But we're just misunderstood."

Shepard: "Okay."

Miranda: “Sorry to get Wilson’s blood on your armor when I wasted him in cold blood, I’m Miranda. I’m going to be cold toward you, but I look hot, so it balances out. Look how awesome Cerberus is, they have me.”

Shepard: “Okay. You’re pretty.”

Miranda: “I told TIM that I wanted to give you a control chip, but he said no. So of course I totally did as he asked. Honest.”

Mass effect 2 according to Siansonea Sheperd II (cause the first one failed)

Jacob: "I want you to know the truth, this operation... we're part of Cerberus."
Siansonea Shepard: "Screw you Cerberus!!"  shoots Jacob, wilson presses a switch and Siansonea's head explodes.
Wilson: "Miranda, She wasn't ready. She shot Shepard and then blew her head off. At least we're not starting
from scratch, yeah maybe we can get that control chip you wanted this time." Wilson message the Shadow broker and tells him he'll have Shepard's body soon.


Siansonea Shepard assaults Miranda and Jacob gets to the shuttle goes to the Alliance and the Council She
personally leads an assault against Cerberus.  Since the colonies are located in the Terminous system Siansonea Shepard is never told of their disappearance.  The Collectors plan go along smoothly and baby terminator attacks the Citadel and Harbie triggers the Citadel and the Reapers come flooding through.

Siansonea Shepard bids her time and upon arriving at Freedom's progress she runs back to the shuttle in the heat of battle takes the Shuttle and heads back to the Alliance.  TIM leaks info that Shepard is a Cerberus Operative and has been working with them for the last two years.  Using the RealityPlus video editing machine falsified video is is leaked to the  Alliance, Siansonea Shepard is arrested on sight her cries about the missing colonist go unheard.

Say Siansonea Shepard decides to go to the Council instead when shown the footage told about the missing colonies they yawn reinstate you and ban you to the terminous systems.  Shepard empties his bank account hires mercs and heads to horizon where She's reunited with Ashley as their stuffed in pods next to each other.  But don't you worry they get to live for eternity as slaves for the reapers as their innards are replaced, that or turned goopy goo soup and fed to baby terminator.

Siansonea Shepard never hears of the collector ship or the Derelict Reaper so Baby Terminator attacks the galaxy.

Ok, this happened in game.  The Council gives him Spectre status that's it.  And as seen in the first game with Udina that they won't lift a finger with colonies that were outside citadel space.

The alliance won't touch him because of "Cerberus involvment" and Ceberus has several operatives in Allance command.  Why do you think Admiral Kahoko's "investigation" was being stonewalled ?  So you thnk it's speculation that TIM spends 4 billion creds on Shepard and would let him go back to the people who had him hunting geth right before he's killed ?

The reality plus video editing tech is real.(in mass effect anyway)
So on and so forth.

They also would've conviently had an illegal AI installed on the Normandy. As well as access to the Reaper IFF? 

I hate Cerberus but they made defeating the Collectors possible.

Well, obviously we didn't get alot options because that's the way it was made.

But..in pretend world....if it was reversed and it was the VS I saw w/ Cerberus, etc. I'd have a whole lot of questions. It would have been a long conversation.

The main thing is, imo, that the VS doesn't believe Shep was dead...and brought back. Understandable. The VS glazes right over that whole I was dead and brought back part, and goes right to Cerberus.

But in thinking of the questions I would ask if it were reversed...honestly, I don't know what else Shep could say.

In the first mtg. the whole "It's been too long" bit. Yeah it's cringe worthy, but think about it. Shepard knows it's been 2 years. Heck, the VS coulda moved on; gotten married, maybe even have a kid. I don't see Shepard just breaking out cooing all over the VS like they just saw each other a couple of days ago. There's a very good chance it might not have been welcomed. Awkward.

My Shep told the VS that she was not working for Cerberus. Trying to stop the Collectors, but that doesn't mean I answer to them. And in return the VS went on abt how Cerberus was manipulating Shep w/ the threat of the Reapers...yada, yada. How do you argue w/ something like that? "No, I'm not being manipulated."

And even if the VS actually entertained the idea that maybe, just maybe Shep was telling the truth, and really was brought back from the dead, what kinda answers could Shep give?
VS: "Well, how did they get your body?
Shep: "I dunno."
VS: "How did they bring you back to life?"
Shep: "I dunno."

It was already established that Shep was there fighting off yet another seemingly mythical group that was abducting colonists. VS thinks Cerberus is behind it, and yet there's Shep trying to stop it.

My Shep also said, "You know me. You know I wouldn't do this unless it was for a good reason."
VS..."I don't know who either of us is anymore." Okay. Well, hell. "You've betrayed..." What? No..Oh, God.

Shep has no answers. Shep was dead and woke up in a Cerberus station. The how and why's, who knows. Is Cerberus behind the attacks? I don't think so, but who knows w/ these guys. Are the Reapers Really involved? Maybe? (at that point we didn't really know) But the Collector's definitely were...and Shep is there trying to stop them. Other than that Shep has no answers to give the VS. And no other way to help these colonists.

The Alliance already turned its back. The Council was tepid at best. Of course, we have TIM to thank for that. He put enuf info out that ppl already had their minds made up. That closed the doors for Shep, which is exactly what TIM wanted. It was like a hostage situation. TIM was holding the colonists hostage. Work with him, or you know they'll all die to the Collectors if you wait around for the Alliance to decide if they believe you.

At no point, however, did my Shep forget who she was working with. At no point did she ever trust Cerberus. Understandably, nobody believes Shep was brought back from the dead. Although, it's the truth, but where does that leave Shep? And how does Shepard explain stuff that even Shepard doesn't understand?
