What I hate most about Cerberus is how central to the ME plot it is. Honestly, it seems that everything from the novels to the games that take place after ME1 are centered around Cerberus. Really I just dont care about Cerberus and would rather they just be forgotten. Its gotten to the point where I want to kill TIM more than Harbinger.

I agree and it makes all the post ME1 stuff quite jarring. Mainly because Cerberus has such a small role in that game and no real development. Then all of a sudden they're bigger and they've got a logo they plaster everywhere, a belief in manifest destiny for humanity, and a charismatic leader with cybernetic eyes.

Will Shepard save himself for last, or take out himself and the Normandy crew first?

I don't know if Cerberus WANTS to exterminate the others, but the Reapers do. working with the Reapers means ensuring our species survival by helping them commit said genocide. If there is a chance humanity can tip the scales in a galactic war, we take that chance. We have to take the chance, because even if we still live, the Reapers will continue the cycle, destroying countless more civilizations. Also, I can see the Reapers simply turning on Cerberus after they have used them to exterminate the Turians, Salarians, Asari, Volus, Hanar, Elcor, Krogan, Drell, and all the other species.

Or Bioware could just say "they're all indoctrinated!" and they take the fundamental morality out of it. <_<

Perhaps, but you also don't suppose that Cerberus could be doing tricksy plots by taking advantage of their less than savoury reputation to move other pieces around the board?

I agree though with you on one aspect; I doubt they're the best of bedfellows; which makes me think that Cerberus has offered something to the Reapers in exchange for something else. My pet theory is that Cerberus is just making a very good show of trying to capture Shephard for the Reapers in order to delay the Reapers conquest of Earth and to keep the majority in Earth's orbit to give Shephard the time he or she needs to collect necessary reinforcements to defeat the Reapers.

At least, I hope for this or anything else that's better than just saying "They're indoctrinated!" (they as in; 'everyone' at Cerberus, and this is better than TIM saying: "I've lost control!")

But the Reapers also want to exterminate Humanity (in so much as Humanity is recognized and valued by Cerberus/TIM). Cerberus would be equally complicit in attempting our genocide... or, if they are seeking to betray the Reapers, also helping to ensure the survival of other species as well. In which case its all against or all for, until something else credibly tells otherwise. As it is, there's no reason to suggest or believe that Cerberus is in any position to influence the Reapers to such a degree that they can use the reapers to kill off the aliens and yet betray them to save humans... even if that was what Cerberus wanted.

I intend to kill TIM (too dangerous to be allowed to live) but I will try to save as much of Cerberus as I can and recreate the organization to serve its original purpose. To be humanity's response to the Asari commandos and the STG.

This I can agree with. I don't mind the concept of Cerberus, just the "Lets put thresher acid in your veins to see what happens" nonesense that needs to stop. The fact that so many cells go rogue makes it worst. Cerberus is in serious need of new leadership, perhaps under Ms. Lawson.

I don't necessarily agree with HiddenKings extreme enthusiasim.....but Dean, Shep maybe working with Cerberus for the moment, but he remains a non member...Miranda herself brings this up, when she tries to get Shep to consider joining Cerberus...conversation: "Too many join out of simple xenophobia....etc, etc..." Shep is not a Cerberus member....Though re-reading it....my arguement falls at 'associate'...Shep is an associate, not that he gets much say in that though.

I think Miranda is potentialy just as dangerous as TIM...I wouldn't like to see that happen.

Why does everyone act like Cerberus did it for lolz as opposed to, well, a reason that they didn't share with Toombs? It doesn't even have to be a good reason (by any moral standard you want), but the way everyone just jumps from 'we don't know what they were going for' to 'they weren't going for anything' is, well, bad.

Kill TIM and take over Cerberus. It's the logical thing to do.

I think it's mostly because it's rather mind boggling as to what they could possibly find out from injecting thresher acid in someone. It's corrosive enough to eat through millitary grade sheilds and metal. Most people wouldn't need to go into injecting people to figure out it MIGHT not be the best thing to have in you.

Though as I've stated before, finding out "Acid = PAIN!" is one of this organizations greatest acomplishments, only really beaten out by Project Lazerus.

Cerberus in ME3 gets two choices, my way or the refuse pit. I'll use those who adapt and the rest (like TIM) are toast. I'm not out to wipe them all out since I support their goal, just not all the methods. A lot of it is going to depend on the extent of the Reaper influence.

Well - my super secret organization run by a yellow eyed hippie has determined that "Acid =/= PAIN!"

Take that you Cerberus dogs!

Now THAT is an idea I like! :o

A little redemption for TIM would be nice.
