So, I will be trying out Nightmare difficulty.  It's probably the same as Hard use to be so I shouldn't be worried.  I just turn down the difficulty when I get in trouble anyway.

Anyone else thinking of trying Nightmare?

I'll be using a two- hander Vangard , Beserker, Reaver. Putting  2 points into Strength and 1 point into Constitution.

Haven't thought about what Party I will be taking.   Anders, Varric and someone else maybe Sebastian.

How does that sound?  Is there a different way to do Warriors like Reaver/Templar or Beserker/Templar?

I'm in the middle of a Nightmare playthrough at the moment. I was a bit wary due to my experience with the mode in DA:O (My dual-wield dwarven warrior couldn't even fight her way out the proving without switching to a greatsword) but I've had a good, if not rocky experience so far.

There's quite a few warrior guides for Nightmare mode on the forum if you need any pointers. Most importantly, in my opinion, is being aware of friendly fire. If you're not careful with your companion builds, they will kill you just as easily as the monsters.

Also, CCC. Very important. In fact, some encounters would be impossible if you're not abusing them as much as possible.

I think it's stupid only having 4 injury potions. The number of potions should go up on Nightmare not down because you presumably are getting more injuries. What am I suppose to do when I run out!

lol, that's why it's called nightmare.

anyway, you should be aiming at zero injuries for the majority of most fights. even if one or two party members get injured, by healing them your chance of picking up injury kits will be increased such that you should have enough for the next fight.

also instead of using injury kits you can return to your house (gamlen/hawke estate) and/or just going into the character select screen.

You could also let the injury stay and use an Elfroot Potion next time they need a heal.

Beserker questions: Should I stop at 200 hp and spend points on Willpower? Should I go 1 point Strength 1 point Willpower? Sounds like a plan.

Do you use Beserker instead of MightyBlow and Whirlwind? How about Cleave?

Do you use the attack speed ability called Barage? I assume so.

That's it right? As far as abilties to use go.

I mentioned in the General topics registered owners that I feel constantly hopeless and out numbered on Nightmare! So I turn it down alot.
