NWN does support modern shaders when it is hacked. Check out NWShader.

I see and I apologize for mistake. If I hacked it with NWShader would it be useful to majority of NW Builders? What numbers are we talking? Hope I don't sound too silly.

I don't know the numbers, but I think overtime those numbers are going to increase. Also, anything that you make work for NWShader still works for vanilla NWN.
As far as I am aware, NWNCQ is NWShader ready, and some Project Q assets are as well.

Sen, thats true. But what I am saying is that the compatibility works both ways. Materials that take advantage of NW Shader are still compatible with Vanilla NWN. And Vanilla NWN materials work under NW Shader. However as far as I am aware the vanilla NWN materials can not be bump mapped without additional work.
