Kink 1 is simple, i simply shan't create a 2h warrior. Check...
The second kink is more general however, and involves slightly more planning. I am refering to my character's build, i very likely ruined my experience of the 2handed warrior because i had no idea what i was doing.
From looking around these very forums i have decided that i will go for a dagger rogue, and i have understood the basic choices i have such as strength vs cunning, and which type of armour i want to shoot for. The questions that remain after searching and pondering are these...
1) Do i raise my dex only to the point i need to equip the weapons i wish to equip, then go all out on cunning? I know what both these stats give me, but i do not know how much defense/attack i need, is there a sweet spot? Is it worth a few misses for the extra damage from cunning? edit> It occurs to me that actually i have no freaking clue what these stats give me, i am not certain that cunning gives more damage to dagger attacks than dex?
2) Willpower... A huge problem during my first playthrough was stamina, it wasn't gamebreaking but having half as much stamina as i needed to turn on all the sustained skills i had acumulated was anticlimactic, also anticlimactic was putting points in any activated ability because i never got a chance to 'activate it'. I realise it is my own fault for severely underinvesting in the attribute but in the end it felt like a huge waste to divert points from str. Do rogues have a different experience? I realize they have fewer sustained skills but far more activated skills than a 2 hander warrior. What is the reccomended investment per level in willpower (if any)? Furthermore if i am going to make use of skills that cost stamina is it really worth getting anything heavier than light armor? Heavier armor will force me to put more points into willpower plus the strength required to equip it.
As i am currently understanding it, i go to a certain amount of dex, some willpower(?) and all the rest in cunning? Any advice on how much to allocate to con (if any)? I realize some of the questions can be answered very quickly with 'do what you like it makes little difference' but i am trying to establish a baseline, lets say a powergamer build that i can vaguely aim for as a guide to innoculate myself against the suckerry that afflicted my first stab at dragon age.
PS if anyone knows how to make an elf look like kate beckinsale i will pay real money.
