First of all, forgive me if my english level is not very good, I'm spanish but I'll do my best ^ ^.
Well, back to topic. My question is dedicated to those who play on nightmare, is it possible to beat that difficulty with a team without Anders (and no SH Hawk)? I want to try a party setup in hard wich don't require the typical Hawke/Merrill/Anders/Varric setup, the thing is that I want to try on hard until I feel confident enough to go nightmare.
I don't care wich class hawke is (I like all specs) but I would like the party setup to contain Fenris and Merrill.
Thanks for the advise and once again, sorry for mistakes (wich will possibly be a lot) and don't hesitate in correcting me! ;)

EDIT: I would really appreciate any particular setup you could recommend me.

Yes, it's quite possible to beat the game on Nightmare without a healer. Anders strength is typically that he has access to Haste more than anything else. What you need to do is frontload your offense if you don't have a healer.

What he said.

Basically, if enemies die fast enough, they can't hurt you much, can they?

EDIT: About the Fenris, Merrill and ? party setup, I can't give you much specifics, because it really depends on what class (and specialization) is your Hawke, what CCC's you want to focus on most, what kind of play style you prefer and stuff like that. Generally speaking Fenris can do some off-tanking when needed, and deals decent AoE damage with his sword. Merrill shines as an offensive damager and crowd controler.
If you want something more specifc, you will have to be a little more specific yourself.

I though you were preparing for Nightmare. Working with two Meleers is a pain the butt with friendly fire.

Hard mode doesn't need a healer. You can simply pile on damage spells one on top of a another and wipe the map clean since there is no friendly fire to worry about.

Nightmare does not require a spirit healer. As matter of fact if you have two mages with basic heal, and access to haste, you can steam roll through nightmare.
