Regardless of any measures I take to correct it, I consistently recieve the "Error initializing PhysX. Please visit http://ww.nvidia.com/physx for updated drivers." message.
I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 4800 series card and have tried multiple drivers as well as multiple versions of Nvidia PhysX to absolutely no avail.
I've searched for and read anything I can find that is even remotely related to the subject, and none of fixes, etc, have worked for me.
Please help.
"Error initializing PhysX."

same here, have installed and uninstalled and installed and uninstalled various PhysX setups from beta to current, it keeps saying "Unable to initialize blablabla..."
Could the fact that i have installed the game on my second HDD have any influence?

OS, installed the game to any weird locations, etc?
If everything is "normal" (ie like most people who dont have issues) all i can think of is something getting corrupted during DA installation or physx installation.

@ daWhizzy... it should not be affected, even if your drivers and the game files are spread over 2 HDD's - unless you've got the wrong master/slave-setup for those.
@ Eliira... I am not entirely sure when googling it, but is PhysX already supported for your card by AMD?
Old message, dunno how relevant, but: http://news.softpedi...ort-88761.shtml

Hey!
I dont want to be misleading or anything, but it may be because the game looks for a precise version of physX that Some ATI cards dont support... Sacred 2 for instance had this problem and many people couldnt play the game...until they patched it.. you propably know where im going to, right?
And please, please answer my question! Nobody seems to bother answering...

Guys, the game uses CPU PhysX, NOT the CUDA version. It's just a physics API that runs on the CPU. Whether you have an ATI or Nvidia card is wholly irrelevant.

I have tried DLing that, had to completely clear the game and Steam from my registry, reinstalled everything, no dice, until yesterday, then the issues started happening again. I do not know what in the heck is going on, but some sort of solution would be nice. Am running Win 7 64bit on the same card as the first poster with an NVIDIA BIOS. Never had any issues up until two weeks ago.

Steam provides its own files verification diagnostics that should catch a corrupted PhysX component for you and fix it (no, it's not automatic).
