Darth Vader death with flashbacks

Shephard, Garrus and Tali make it onto Harbingers Reaper ship while all unified races destract the main Reaper fleet to allow Sheps team in where  they can start a self destruct sequence from the inside. They do it, kill the final boss within and all the other Reapers in the galaxy start self destructing as well but Tali gets severely injured somehow because of a bad decision Shep made and is about to die as they make there way back to the shuttle that brought them into Harbinger.

Tali: Shephard....... help me take....this mask off
Shephard: But youll die!
Tali: Nothing can stop that now, before we save the galaxy again, let me look at you again with my own eyes
*Shephard takes off Tali's helmet*
*Tali kisses Shep*

Tali: Now go my love....leave me..
Shephard: No! Your coming with me! Im not going to leave you here on Harbinger's self destructing ship! There must be some way I can save you!
Tali: You already have....Shephard....you were right.....You were right about Legion. The Quarians created Geth with human and Quarian emotions in mind.....We cant blame them for wanting to fight for there existance....Tell Garrus too that boshtet....you were right.

*Flashbacks of all of Shep & Talis time together in ME1 and ME2*

*Tali closes her eyes and falls back from Sheps arms*
Shep: Tali! Tali I wont leave you!
Garrus: Shep we will never make it off here in the shuttle unless we go NOW!

Shep then has a choice, Either leave or stay with Tali

What do you guys think? Powerful?Dumb? Allows people to only see Talis face in bad ending but keeps it a mystery for perfect runs of ME3.

i wouldn't go with the star wars connection....though i do think it should be something that's reserved for tali as a LI

Yes, as a compromise to avoid ticking people off, make the compromise tick off AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.

The whole "people dying this" has become too cliched. It needs to be a unique experience, not something copied and pasted. That's why Bioware is having a hard time achieving "perfection" for this instance.

Shepard could just have carried Tali out of there instead of wasting time on all that dramatic dialogue

Well hell I'd like to believe that if she HAD to die they wouldn't have to resort to copying a death scene from a movie, or for that matter have a long, drawn out, clichéd death scene to begin with.
Maybe after that is done we can copy Spock's funeral from Wrath of Khan too.

Totally. Course, her dying without me being able to stop it would SUCK.
