So I've been trying to get this to work and I'm at my wits end. If anyone here could provide me with some assistance I would be very grateful. What I'm trying to do is change the frequency of the loot dropped. So I edited the fw_inc_probability_tables_misc.nss file and changed all values to 0 in every category (monster, boss, and placeable) but it still generates loot almost 100% of the time.
I'll list the steps I've tried:

1) Put unzipped archive in nwn\\overide in mydocs folder
2) tried it in install directory\\override folder
3) compiled into .erf file and imported it into cdaulepp's demo module and told it to overwrite the scripts and saved module. Loaded game and every container and the 3 normal enemies and 3 bosses all still drop loot.
4) I've removed EVERYTHING form the \\override folders except the loot generator to rule out conflicts and still nothing.
5) I have added other stuff to the override folder to verify it is working

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Eric (Fihnakis) V.

EDIT: A link to the loot generator I'm working with: Cdaulepp's random loot generator

If anyone knows Chris, and if he doesn't mind helping, have him check his juno mail account. I sent him an email but for all I know it ended up in spam folder.

Did you recompile fw_random_loot ?

fw_inc_probability_tables_misc is an #include file .. I just changed the FW_PROB_LOOT_CR_* values to 0 and cd's RLG stopped dropping, seems to work fine.

( personally i just can't stand those names, Lol )

do you have the files snug in a subdirectory of your MyDocs->Override? (.uti, .nss/ncs, .2da)

If so, you can make the changes you want to fw_inc_probability_tables_misc.nss, and other changes you want to the files with "_inc_" in their names, with a text editor .... The script editor in the Toolset itself has a handy filter box, so open it up from the Toolset's File menu and type "fw_random_loot" in the filter box.

You should now be looking at the script that will do all the work (but don't change anything here). Press F7, i think, or Save & Compile for the script open in the Toolset - the changes you've made to any #include files get parsed & hashed & turned to stew this way. Then you should have a brand new fw_random_loot.ncs file in the RLG's Override subdirectory.

g.t.g.

( cd's RLG is way more complicated than this of course, but if you can follow this through and get a grasp of what's going on, the rest should make sense )
