Hey everyone. This is probably a pretty noob question. But I was wondering if anyone can tell me...
I created, set up everythign the way i want it to be. On my blacksmith placeable (House or whatever you want to call it) I set the walkmesh and make sure the doors are clickable, and when I go to walk up the few steppes infront of the door. Instead of going up the steppes, the steppes just go right through my characters legs, as if no stepes are there?
Can someone please tell me how to make it so characters walk up the stairs?
Thanks!
Problem with the walkmesh on my placeable? Please help.

If the building is set to be an environmental object and not a placeable this can happen. Environmental objects do not block the walkmesh. Another common cause would be forgetting to bake the area once things are set.

It's a placeable, not an environmental object. I've also baked and the only difference is, my character stops instead of walking up on the stairs/platform. I'm trying to get characters to be able to walk up the stairs, to the door, so they can go in to the shop.

This sounds sort of unusual. I've used the blacksmith buildings before with no problems like this. Is it possible that another placeable is in the way? If you still can't figure it out, try posting a screenshot, that would help us understand what is happening a little better.

Too many placeables too close together can also cause issues.

Also, and this is a bit counter-intuitive, make sure that the walkable flag on the Blacksmith placeable is set to FALSE.

So I removed everything from the town. Kept the walls around it. The Pallisade looking ones. I put the blacksmith right dab in the center, and paint meshed the "non-walk" all the way around and under the blacksmith building. Now it just stops me as I hit the stairs.
I find myself quite confused..

please post a screenshot of the area with the walkmesh showing, or the area itself, you can export it to an erf.

Why did you paint the Non-Walk sections? You don't need to do that with every placeable, once you bake the area it will cut out the shape of the house from the walkmesh all by itself, and should do so in such a fashion that allows you to walk up to the door. The No-Walk is more for cleaning up the walkmesh after it is baked to have cleaner lines and such, or for just defining a section that should not be walkable and has no placeables there to cut out the mesh.
