All Legacy areas are new areas that were not seen in DA2.

A correction - it's 'If I cannot leave with you, I will leave through you!'

BTW, was it mentioned anywhere what languages the DLC is going to support?

All languages that were supported in Dragon Age 2 are still supported in the Legacy DLC

Do you have to play it with a current game, or can you import that post save game mansion thing?

I wouldn't really call it an import but yes you can play from the Post-Campaign save.

Is Carver or Bethany available if I use this save? Or do i have to revert to an ACT 1 save to bring them along?

Unless they are dead, yes.

Luke! Do you know when this DLC is
supposed to take place: which act. Most have said act 2 but I would like
official word on it if I could.

Story wise it will work anywhere in the game and reflect accordingly.

KennethAFTopp wrote...
I wonder... Will the key only be a sword or could it also be an axe or a hammer? Or a bow?

The weapon is class specific. Additionally, it takes in to account if youre a 1h/2h warrior or dualwield/bow rogue

Can the devs please clarify when it's
supposed to be released for the PS3? The official site says one thing,
the trailer says another. Even a "We don't know for sure yet." would
help.

Edit: Nevermind.  The trailer now says July 26th without an asterisk.

I can't speak to why that version of the trailer had that slide about PS3 being delayed but I've been assured that is not currently the case and all versions will be releasing July 26th

The regular genlocks are shown in the Trailer and are much smaller than the Alpha so don't be sad :)

so the thing about PS3 getting this in August was faulty??

alse, will we be getting some more preview pics of the new weapons available to Hawke?

Yes, the PS3 version will be released with the rest in July. As for the weapons I have no clue, marketting is a mysterious beast :D

Sorry about the confusion.  The Sony confirmation came very very late, so the original material was prepped with a later release to be safe.  We're updating sites etc as we speak, and getting that out to press.  But if you see that out in the ether, its that it has not been updated to latest.

Worth noting - the for the europe region Sony only releases new content on wednesdays.  So players out there will actually see it then.  Everyone else on PS3/X360/PC/Mac will be 26th.

About the Europe thing,  does that mean that it will come out the same week as the rest but on the 27th instead?

Yes, 27th for PS3 EU. Basically when your PS Store updates that week, it will be there.

Just find it really hard to see where the DLC fits into the DA2
timeline, it's my one gripe with what looks like a great concept. I
suppose I could see Hawke going off on an adventure to make money in Act
1, but he/she seems far too busy in Act 2 and 3 with pressing concerns
for it to make much sense to me.

Just seems like it would have made perfect sense for it to be playable in any of the four gaps in Hawke's life?

Hopefully it'll make more sense when you go through the introduction of the DLC.

Don't know if this has been asked yet, but seeing as we can access Bethany or Carver in the post-campaign save which supposedly takes place before the final events, does the DLC have some sort of story line explanation for the sibling being able to forgo their current situation or will the DLC just go "oh hai guyz look whos back"?

Yes. Depending on where you are in the story and whether they went Warden or Circle/Templar will depend on the explanation they give for coming with you.

I'm at least excited to see them get rid of 'wave' attack patterns, assuming it is removed and not just unseen in the gameplay videos so far.

To be fair there are still some wave based encounters. However, enemies do not ever spawn out of thin air or drop down from the sky in a way that makes no sense - additionally, our usage of wave combat was DRASTICALLY lowered compared to DA2 main. I just don't want you to think that combat encounters with more than one group of enemies was completely abolished.

a question about these special weapons.Firstly for rogues are there 2 daggers, and will there be a bow as well? and for warriors is there just a 2 handed sword? or is there a one handed as well?
as there wasn't an 'iconic' one hander or bow in the main game either

The game will be able to tell which weapon type you use and give you the appropriate style of weapon in those cases - you will however not get both. So if you want to get it as a bow, make sure you go in to Legacy as a bow-wielding Hawke ^_^

It *should* be whenever the stores update around midnight tonight for console users. Not sure what time that is precisely but whenever that happens you should see Legacy there.

As for PC/Mac it will be in the morning tomorrow sometime. I'll try to have more details as they come.

(oh and PS3 EU has a later date for the store updates so it obviously won't be until that happens)

When you say later date? Do you mean it will not be released in Europe tomorrow? Or just later on the day?

It will be whenever the PS3 EU store updates normally. Unfortunately we have no control over that.

Dear Luke would the morning you mention be your time or EU time? There is a eight hour difference between where you are and where I am, so your morning would be dinner time here, now if it's released at midnight where you are then yes it would be morning here. Just checking.

Our time (UTC -07:00) for the PC/Mac time. Not sure exactly when it'll be but that is the current information that I have. I'll be here fielding questions and tech support tonight when the console versions launch and hopefully I'll have more for you by then.

so it's 7.00 am utc on pc and mac?

the -07:00 is in reference to the time zone not the time. Im going soley off what it says when I click my calendar in Windows 7 :)

UTC actually stands for Coordinated Universal Time, not sure how that's UTC and not CUT but I guess they didn't like that abreviation.

Yes, every language we supported in the main game is supported in the DLC.

The PC/Mac version is dependent on our office, the PS3(NA) and Xbox is dependent on the console providers.

So if you're on PC/Mac you have to wait for us tomorrow morning, if you're on console it should be whenever the shops update tonight. (if you're ps3 EU it'll be +1 day I believe)

PC/Mac - approx 10AM MST (1700 GMT)
X360 - when MS updates marketplace (so can't guarantee) - for previous DLCs, I think it was early AM PST (early aft GMT)
PS3 (not europe) - when Sony updates store (so can't guarantee) - for previous DLCs, I think it was early afternoon PST
PS3 (europe) - when Sony updates store (so can't guarantee) - for previous DLCs, I think it was around mid day GMT.
