The regular genlocks are shown in the Trailer and are much smaller than the Alpha so don't be sad :)

Lets see...

An old prison belonging to an old order?  Check
This prison has housed an 'ancient evil' for thousands of years?  Check.
The protagonist has to piece together  some sort of "key"?  Check.
The "ancient evil" wants to use the protagonist to free himself?  Check.

Wait a minute.  This is BG2's  Watcher's Keep v2.0!   Let me guess, the Talking Darkspawn's name is... Demogorgon.    lol

GG!:D

Now I'm even happier! I was already happy that they move like gorillas whilst still appearing fearsome!

I'm even happier now that I know regular genlocks are smaller.

But I feel the need to ask because I will never let it go... can I get a gorilla companion in a future DA game or expansion? That would be awesome.

Yes, the PS3 version will be released with the rest in July. As for the weapons I have no clue, marketting is a mysterious beast :D

Good catch there :D

But the important question still stands...

Will we be able to lock the ancient demog, eh, evil into the basement by some sort of magic, like in BG2, or do we have to fight it/him/she/the conductor? And what does he conduct?  ----- the trains, the music, the airplane traffic ;) - or something more dark and sinister... And is this -ahem- thing or person one of the Old Gods for Ferelden...?

And wasn't there also an enemy in BG2 who could create multiple versions of itself? in Watcher's Keep as well?

Yup it is a Grey Warden prison, holding an intelligent darkspawn that's at least 2000 years old (which means Darkspawn came before the Chantry's idiotic tale, as that happened 1000 years ago).

Well, the Grey Warden order certainly isn't 2000 years old, so if that date is right it wasn't the Wardens who originally bound the Darkspawn.

The elves of Arlathan maybe?

And I'm hoping I don't have to kill The Conductor. The more I watch the trailer the more I think his voice is badass. Perhaps "Defeat an ancient evil" doesn't just mean The Conductor. Maybe it also means that really old looking Grey Warden in the trailer. If I'm given a choice between sparing The Conductor and killing him, I'll be happy.

Who voices The Conductor? He sounds familiar....

Sorry about the confusion.  The Sony confirmation came very very late, so the original material was prepped with a later release to be safe.  We're updating sites etc as we speak, and getting that out to press.  But if you see that out in the ether, its that it has not been updated to latest.

Worth noting - the for the europe region Sony only releases new content on wednesdays.  So players out there will actually see it then.  Everyone else on PS3/X360/PC/Mac will be 26th.

His voice is awesome, that's good enough. Funny enough the Arittiect also had an amazing voice. These powerful Darkspawn have good vocals...

Luke! Do you know when this DLC is
supposed to take place: which act. Most have said act 2 but I would like
official word on it if I could.

Story wise it will work anywhere in the game and reflect accordingly.

Ohh does this mean there will be unique dialogue that reflects whether we have finished the game, or conversely, have barely started it? :) Would make sense given the dramatic events at the end of Act 3 at least?

If I'm understanding it correctly, the post-campaign save actually sits, timeline-wise, just before the events at the Chantry/Gallows (even though you, the player, have already done it). Which is why Hawke (and LI, possibly) are still hanging out at the Hawke Estate.

About the Europe thing,  does that mean that it will come out the same week as the rest but on the 27th instead?

It's Duncan.

I second that about The Conductor's voice.  It sounds *really* familiar.

Yes, 27th for PS3 EU. Basically when your PS Store updates that week, it will be there.

I think it's the guy who voiced Riordan Sans french sounding accent. Stephane Cornicard.

I don't know what to think about what I've seen so far... I just hope that thing is not the Architect... I must see much more before jumping into new conclusions.

One thing must be said: about time of new areas...

...And now I'm sad. :( Just find it really hard to see where the DLC fits into the DA2 timeline, it's my one gripe with what looks like a great concept. I suppose I could see Hawke going off on an adventure to make money in Act 1, but he/she seems far too busy in Act 2 and 3 with pressing concerns for it to make much sense to me.

Just seems like it would have made perfect sense for it to be playable in any of the four gaps in Hawke's life?

I think the DLC will have different dialogue to reflect upon the time period it takes place in.

Which will be interesting.

Basically, you choose when it takes place.

I'm going to keep my eye on this DLC but I'm not going to buy it until I see the player feedback.
